Shannon and Cole (Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh)

Every wedding contains a million details, all of which will come together to create a day which is completely your own.  Shannon and Cole worked tirelessly on their amazing wedding and reception held at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.  With the help of family and friends, their celebration was romantic, unique, and completely awesome.

Children's Museum of Pittsburgh (31 of 31) One important detail I was able to help out with was the newlyweds’ customized playlist.  They avoided overplayed and cheesy songs, and instead used great songs to create a great vibe.  Their song choices included great indie singer-songwriters, and later in the night some amazing 90’s tunes.  Dancing started off with a hora which filled up the big dance floor quickly as the newlyweds were hoisted in the air!

Shannon and Cole avoided many wedding traditions, and instead spent every moment of the special day enjoying amazing moments with their guests.   Their choices in details and music helped make the day a perfect reflection of their personalities.  They can enjoy every moment of their honeymoon in Puerto Rico knowing their day  had been a complete success.

Kira and Ryan (Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh)

From the moment I met Kira and Ryan, I knew their reception would be something special.  Their chemistry and love for life was immediately evident and I was thrilled when they chose me to be their DJ.  Since they both work as musicians, I knew we would have great fun working together on the perfect playlist.

The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh was the perfect location for the elegant and unique celebration.  I received many compliments all night long about Kira and Ryan’s fantastic music choices.  They chose to have me provide uplighting for the Big Red Room which really helped customize the space to their colors.

Ryan and Kira tore up the dance floor along with their friends and family to a great mix of music.  Everyone danced and sung along with great conviction, and it was a party I had hoped would never end.  I consider myself fortunate not only to have been part of such a perfect day, but for getting to know these wonderfully wild, funny, Disney-loving, crazy-talented newlyweds.

Emily and Ryan (Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh)

I find it inspiring when a couple is brave enough to truly customize their wedding to create an experience like nothing else.  Emily and Ryan were completely fearless when planning their special day held entirely at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Part of what made their celebration unique was avoiding many traditional elements (no bridal party, no head table or sweetheart table).  They included a variety of one-of-a-kind details, of which the most obvious was Emily’s stunning non-traditional wedding dress, which suited her style perfectly.

The music the newlyweds chose was the perfect match for their big day.  Everything from the ceremony to the last song was a fun twist on the standards (including the Hora to kick off the dance celebration was genius).  Emily & Ryan never hesitated to make bold choices and the results were spectacular.
