Briana and Russ (Southpointe Golf Club)

What makes a wedding day perfect? Is it the dress, the food, the weather? Nope, none of this stuff matters at all as long as you can focus on what matters most, the whole reason there even is a wedding. Briana and Russ had no problem at all putting together a day that was perfect in every way. They knew that what mattered most was getting to spend time with friends and family as they gathered together at the Southpointe Golf Club to celebrate their love.

The ballroom turned out to be a wonderful location for both their elegant ceremony and reception. I was able to provide uplighting for dinner and dancing, which really gave the room a customized atmosphere.

Briana and Russ knew their guests were going to be ready to party, and they did not let them down. Everyone jumped on the dance floor for a great mix of music from the 80s, 90s and today. I can’t say enough about how much fun it was to work with this wonderful couple. They are now preparing to celebrate some more on what I’m sure will be their perfect honeymoon in the Riviera Maya.

Jennifer and Jeremy (Southpointe Golf Club)

The music and style you choose for your grand entrance into the reception can help set the tone for the entire evening. Soft and sophisticated, crazy and wild, or just fun and loud music will let your guests know exactly what your plans for the celebration will be. Jennifer and Jeremy took the time to create their own special mix for their epic entrance into the ballroom at the Southpointe Golf Club, and it was the perfect way to start their perfect party.

In addition to their custom entrance, the newlyweds included lots of great touches at the reception including a candy buffet, photo booth, and even had the cake prepared in advanced for their guests to take home to enjoy.

Jennifer and Jeremy did a spectacular job planning their big day, leaving lots of time for visiting and dancing. After a wonderful celebration, the couple was able to enjoy one last song with their closest friends and family before heading off to Aruba to begin a new chapter in their lives together.

Shannon and Ron (Southpointe Golf Club)

Nothing makes me as excited as a couple who knows and loves music. Add to that the fact that they equally love movies, and I can’t imagine a more epic wedding reception. Shannon and Ron incorporated a ton of fun and elegant details into their special day at the Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburg, PA.

Shannon and Ron’s reception had a classic old Hollywood theme and featured an ice sculpture, photo booth, and a couple of mac mini’s displaying photos from their past. They provided me with many wonderful song choices for their wedding soundtrack, which included dinner music selections from all their favorite movies. At the end of the evening the couple made their getaway in style in a Delorean!

Their guests danced and sung all night long to a great variety of music. It was an amazing celebration which could have gone on forever (if only that flux capacitor really worked!). The sequel to their romantic love story will start on their honeymoon in Hawaii… (cue the music!)

Nicole and Matthew (Southpointe Golf Club DJ)

Just last week I wrote about what a great luxury it is to have a wonderfully long reception. But what can you do if you have a standard amount of time to celebrate on your big day? Well this weekend I was DJ for the wonderful reception of Nicole Kreyling and Matthew Junker, and these newlyweds made sure to make the most of every moment at the elegant Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburgh, PA.

The golf club looked tremendous as always. I do my best to make sure my equipment doesn’t take away from the beauty of the venue.

Nicole and Matthew are a sweet and fun couple, and their musical style was exactly the same. They picked a great mix of their favorite tunes for dinner, that created a modern and relaxed atmosphere. I was thrilled at the end of the night when Nicole told me that the music was perfect.

Not only did the newlyweds and bridal party arrive promptly for the reception, but Nicole and Matthew used the time between courses to visit with their guests. This meant that right after the cake was served we were able to jump into their special dances.

With the formalities out of the way, there was TONS of time for everyone to really celebrate and party!

It’s so easy to let the wedding day slip by without having the chance to do everything you’d like. Nicole and Matthew were able to pull off their big day with tons of time for visiting, photographs, dancing, singing and loving every moment. This smart couple is headed off to Hawaii where I’m sure they’ll be able to find the time to enjoy the perfect honeymoon.

Alexandra and Kirk (Southpointe Golf Club DJ)

It’s always great when couples are able to put away the stress and worry of the little details of planning their big day. Instead, they put their attention on how special it is to be surrounded by their favorite people while celebrating their new lives together. Alex Yeager and Kirk Konert were the perfect example of keeping things in perspective at their romantic and elegant reception, held at the Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburg, PA.

Southpointe Golf Club is a beautiful venue with a very attentive staff. The ballroom looked great decked out in pink.

Cocktail music was provided by the excellent Jim Zalenka Trio singing standards. Live music continued throughout the night as the couple’s first dance was sung by their amazingly talented friend Danielle Campbell.

Alex and Kirk knew exactly what would get their guests to the dance floor. Modern hits mixed with some classic 80’s tunes made the guests go wild.

After a few moments with this cute and hilarious couple it becomes obvious that they are a perfect match for each other.

The guests at the wedding were some of the most fun and friendly groups I’ve ever seen. They were ready for the party!

At the end of the night the dance floor was still completely packed, as many of the guests were preparing to head off to an after party. The newlyweds were exhausted but excited about their amazing wedding day. They completely deserve to relax and reflect on their success during their Hawaiian honeymoon.

Christy & Michael (Southpointe Golf Club )

This winter I’m continuing my trip down wedding memory lane and pulling old wedding photos that have never appeared on my website. Christy Russell & Michael Rogers held their wedding reception at the Southpointe Golf Club in Southpointe, PA.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at the golf club many times in the past few years. Their staff is always kind and attentive to every detail.

I happen to capture this moment of the bridal party enjoying themselves before their introductions.

Christy and Michael will be celebrating their FOURTH wedding anniversary this coming June. They had chosen such timeless and elegant style for their wedding that the photos could have easily be from this year.
