Just last week I wrote about what a great luxury it is to have a wonderfully long reception. But what can you do if you have a standard amount of time to celebrate on your big day?  Well this weekend I was DJ for the wonderful reception of Nicole Kreyling and Matthew Junker, and these newlyweds made sure to make the most of every moment at the elegant Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburgh, PA.

The golf club looked tremendous as always.  I do my best to make sure my equipment doesn’t take away from the beauty of the venue.

Nicole and Matthew are a sweet and fun couple, and their musical style was exactly the same.  They picked a great mix of their favorite tunes for dinner, that created a modern and relaxed atmosphere.  I was thrilled at the end of the night when Nicole told me that the music was perfect.

Not only did the newlyweds and bridal party arrive promptly for the reception, but Nicole and Matthew used the time between courses to visit with their guests.  This meant that right after the cake was served we were able to jump into their special dances.

With the formalities out of the way, there was TONS of time for everyone to really celebrate and party!

It’s so easy to let the wedding day slip by without having the chance to do everything you’d like.  Nicole and Matthew were able to pull off their big day with tons of time for visiting, photographs, dancing, singing and loving every moment.  This smart couple is headed off to Hawaii where I’m sure they’ll be able to find the time to enjoy the perfect honeymoon.

It’s always great when couples are able to put away the stress and worry of the little details of planning their big day.  Instead, they put their attention on how special it is to be surrounded by their favorite people while celebrating their new lives together.  Alex Yeager and Kirk Konert were the perfect example of keeping things in perspective at their romantic and elegant reception, held at the Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburg, PA.

Southpointe Golf Club is a beautiful venue with a very attentive staff.  The ballroom looked great decked out in pink.

Cocktail music was provided by the excellent Jim Zalenka Trio singing standards.  Live music continued throughout the night as the couple’s first dance was sung by their amazingly talented friend Danielle Campbell.

Alex and Kirk knew exactly what would get their guests to the dance floor.  Modern hits mixed with some classic 80′s tunes made the guests go wild.

After a few moments with this cute and hilarious couple it becomes obvious that they are a perfect match for each other.

The guests at the wedding were some of the most fun and friendly groups I’ve ever seen.  They were ready for the party!

At the end of the night the dance floor was still completely packed, as many of the guests were preparing to head off to an after party.  The newlyweds were exhausted but excited about their amazing wedding day.  They completely deserve to relax and reflect on their success during their Hawaiian honeymoon.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at the golf club many times in the past few years.  Their staff is always kind and attentive to every detail.

I happen to capture this moment of the bridal party enjoying themselves before their introductions.

Christy and Michael will be celebrating their FOURTH wedding anniversary this coming June.  They had chosen such timeless and elegant style for their wedding that the photos could have easily be from this year.

Earlier tonight I was out at the Southpointe Golf Club for the wedding reception of Jennifer Minter & Perry Patterson. It was a bit overcast today, but it turned out to be a perfect day for a wedding. Jennifer & Perry were such a blast to work with in preparing for the big day.

Jennifer & Perry knew exactly the music that their friends and family would enjoy all night long. They even turned me on to some very cool instrument Beastie Boys songs that we used during dinner. I love it when people add a few special touches like that to make the music show their own style.

Mitch & Nicole Patterline referred me to Jenn & Perry. I played their wedding back in September 2006 and it was SO great to see them again! Happy 2nd Anniversary!

All weddings are joyous occasions, but as I was looking through my photos I love how much everyone is laughing, smiling and hugging. It was a fantastic night and I’m glad to have been a part of it. Thanks Jenn & Perry, have a GREAT time in Italy!
