Dancing the Night Away with Loren & Eric at The LeMont

Loren and Eric’s wedding at The LeMont was everything you’d want from a Pittsburgh celebration — stunning views, great people, and a dance floor packed from start to finish. Perched high above the city on Mount Washington, The LeMont offered a front-row seat to one of the best skylines in the country. And for me, this venue always feels extra special since it’s where I proposed to my wife years ago. Getting to DJ a wedding there always hits a little differently.

The night kicked off with an amazing cocktail hour full of classic hits and feel-good favorites that had everyone in the best mood right from the start. Once dinner wrapped up, things only got better. Loren and Eric had built a playlist that truly had something for everyone — from Motown and disco to modern pop, country, and even a few hip-hop throwbacks. Every generation found a reason to hit the dance floor, and that’s exactly how a great reception should be.

They took the fun up another level with glow sticks, tambourines, sunglasses, and light-up Hawaiian leis for all their guests. I’ve seen a lot of wedding dance floors, but this one looked like a full-on party — everyone from kids to grandparents to college friends were out there having the best time. Loren and Eric trusted me to keep the flow just right, reading the room and mixing in requests while keeping the energy high all night long.

As the evening came to a close, guests surrounded the couple for a few last songs that had everyone singing along, before clearing the floor so Loren and Eric could share a private last dance together. It was a perfect ending to an incredible night.

Loren and Eric are heading to St. Lucia for their honeymoon, and I can’t imagine a better way to unwind after such a fantastic celebration. This one was pure happiness from start to finish, and I was so honored to be part of it.

Great Music and Amazing Memories for Jessica and Mike at the Butler Country Club

Jessica and Mike’s wedding at Butler Country Club was everything you’d hope for on a crisp early fall day in Western Pennsylvania. The venue, surrounded by rolling greens and golden trees, looked absolutely stunning — the perfect place for two golf fans to celebrate their big day with all of their favorite people. Between the music, the laughter, and the nonstop fun, the whole night just flowed perfectly.

From the moment guests arrived, the vibe was warm, relaxed, and full of good energy. Jessica and Mike had picked out a cocktail and dinner playlist filled with classics and oldies — the kind of songs that make everyone hum along and smile without even realizing it. It was the perfect soundtrack for the first part of the evening and helped set the tone for what would turn into an unforgettable night.

Once dinner wrapped up, the lights dimmed, and the dance floor came alive. I mixed in everything from disco favorites and 80s pop to modern dance hits and singalongs. There’s just something special about watching family, college friends, and cousins all dancing together to the same song. It’s those moments that really make a wedding feel magical.

As the evening came to a close, guests surrounded the couple for one last dance to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World.” It was the perfect ending to a perfect night — the kind of send-off that leaves everyone smiling as they head home.

Jessica and Mike, thank you for letting me be part of such an incredible celebration. You two created the perfect mix of great music, great friends, and great memories — and I hope Hawaii treats you just as well as your wedding day did!

Under the Stars with Summer & Trevor at the Kamin Science Center

Summer and Trevor’s wedding was one of the most unique celebrations I’ve ever been a part of—and that’s exactly what they wanted. Their big day at the Kamin Science Center (formerly the Carnegie Science Center) was filled with so many personal touches that no one could ever mistake this for just another wedding. It was theirs, through and through.

The ceremony kicked things off under the stars in the Buhl Planetarium, which was already incredible enough. But right after they said their vows, the newlyweds treated their guests to a custom laser show set to their favorite songs from anime, video games and more! It was the kind of moment where everyone just sat back, grinned, and thought, “Yep, this is Summer and Trevor.”

From there, cocktails were held in the Mars exhibit before moving to the Science Center’s ballroom, which delivered not only an awesome vibe but some of the best views of Pittsburgh at night. Guests could grab a drink, chat, and then step out to take in the skyline—it was the perfect balance of fun and atmosphere.

But maybe my favorite detail was their “guest book.” Instead of the usual signatures on paper, everyone got to create their own LEGO minifig version of themselves to add to a big display. It was hilarious, creative, and such a perfect reflection of the couple’s playful spirit.

To kick off the night, Summer had a special dance with one of her grandmothers that transitioned into her first dance with Trevor. It was a special moment that started the evening perfectly.

That playlist was one of the wildest mixes I’ve put together in a while—everything from Broadway and video game soundtracks to hip-hop, rap, dance, and classic throwbacks. I had fun doing some quick-mixing to keep the energy high and fit in as many requests as possible.

The night ended on the best note possible—with everyone smiling, laughing, and totally present in the moment. Summer and Trevor proved that when you make your wedding your own, every detail feels meaningful, every memory feels special, and every guest leaves talking about it for weeks. I was so glad to be their DJ for this unforgettable day.

Friends, Family, and a Night to Remember – Mary & Randy at Rivers Casino

Mary and Randy’s wedding at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh was all about focusing on what really matters: celebrating with the people you love most. With over 230 guests filling the Rivers Ballroom, the day was filled with laughter, visiting, dancing, and plenty of special moments that reflected the couple’s fun personalities.

The ballroom itself looked incredible. Rivers Casino is such a great space for weddings because it combines a sleek, modern style with gorgeous views of the city. The couple took full advantage of it by booking the venue for an extra hour, giving them more time to relax and enjoy their day without feeling rushed. That extra hour meant more visiting, more dancing, and more memories made with family and friends.

One of the coolest parts of the night was the birthday photo tradition they created. I announced each month one at a time, and everyone with a birthday in that month came up for photos with the newlyweds. It was hilarious, joyful, and such a unique way to make every single guest feel included in their celebration.

Of course, the dance floor was the place to be. With many hours of open dancing, we had the chance to fit in just about every style of music—oldies, pop, country, R&B, rap, 80’s, 90’s, and today’s hits. Guests were up and down throughout the evening, enjoying the music, catching up with old friends, and jumping back into the party when their favorite songs came on. It had the perfect mix of high-energy fun and those sweet singalong moments everyone loves.

The night ended on the most unforgettable note. Guests circled around Mary and Randy as we played two final songs—one of them hilariously perfect for the moment: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”… in September! Everyone was laughing, singing at the top of their lungs, and celebrating right up until the very last second.

It was such an amazing night, and I had an absolute blast being their DJ. Mary and Randy built a wedding that was uniquely theirs, focused on joy, family, and plenty of fun—and it couldn’t have been better.

A Wedding Day Full of Fun and Perfect Timing – Lauren & Robert at The Grand Hall

Lauren and Robert’s wedding at The Grand Hall at the Priory was one of those days where everything just flowed beautifully. From the moment guests arrived, the whole day felt carefully thought out yet never rushed. They managed to fit in so many special moments without ever losing the chance to enjoy it all.

The Grand Hall was the perfect backdrop – elegant, timeless, and filled with excitement from their 130 guests. After dinner, Lauren and Robert pulled off one of the most fun wedding traditions I’ve seen: they dashed to every single table in the room to get a photo with each group. The whole thing took less than three minutes, and the room was full of laughter and cheers as people scrambled into place for their photo moment.

Their first dance was choreographed and looked amazing – you could tell they had put in time and effort to make it shine, and everyone loved it. Later in the evening, the dance floor opened and guests were able to enjoy the music for almost four hours straight. With that much time, I was able to fit in tons of requests and play a huge variety of music – everything from classic singalongs and oldies to 90s pop, rock anthems, R&B, and current hits. It was the kind of night where everyone got to hear something they loved.

One of the highlights of the night was how much fun guests had with the Photo Booth. People couldn’t get enough, snapping silly, sweet, and creative pictures all night long. Between that, the table dash, and all the dancing, there was never a dull moment.

As the night wrapped up, everyone surrounded Lauren and Robert for a final singalong of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” It was the perfect ending – heartfelt, joyful, and unforgettable. I loved being their DJ and helping being a part of such an amazing celebration.

Crowd Surfing, Sax Solos, and Zero Rules: Paige & Michael’s Epic Olive or Twist Wedding Bash

From the start, Paige and Michael made it clear they weren’t interested in a “typical” wedding. No cookie-cutter timeline, no formalities just for the sake of tradition—just a night that felt like them. And wow, did they pull it off. Paige and Michael’s wedding were held at Olive or Twist—a martini bar tucked right into the heart of downtown that transformed into something completely their own for one absolutely unforgettable night. The entire evening felt like stepping into a cool downtown speakeasy (Paige’s vision, totally nailed), with custom uplighting and décor that made the space glow. Think: candlelit warmth, classy vintage touches, and a dance floor that was practically begging to be used.

The ceremony? Smack dab in the middle of cocktail hour. I loved this. It was sweet and intimate, officiated by Michael’s sister, with everyone gathered close, drink in hand, smiling and tearing up at the same time. There was no “quiet please” or stiff seating—it felt natural, genuine, and completely centered around love. And then… the party really started.

Paige and Michael skipped the first dance entirely—which honestly fit the vibe perfectly—and instead kicked things off with one of the wildest horas I’ve ever been a part of. Chairs were flying (safely!), the crowd was all in, and the energy was already through the roof before dinner had even ended.

And the dancing didn’t stop. People were on the floor during cocktails. That’s how good the music and energy were. Paige and Michael gave me an awesome list of songs to build from, and with quick mixes and high-energy transitions, we kept things moving all night. From retro dance bangers to pop, rap, disco, EDM, and just the right amount of throwback sing-alongs, the floor stayed packed. There were moments of 80s synth-pop, bursts of early 2000s party anthems, disco divas, Top 40 floor-fillers, and even some indie electro deep cuts woven in to keep everyone on their toes.

At one point, Paige and Michael crowd surfed. Not joking. They both went up on top of their guests, hands in the air, laughing their heads off. If you’ve never seen that happen in a martini bar, trust me—it’s as awesome as it sounds.

And then came the sax. Yep, for the last couple hours, a local sax player jumped in and played along live with the music. It was this cool, electric fusion of DJ sets with live jazz-pop bursts that made the dance floor feel like its own little universe. Every time the sax kicked in over a dance track, people went nuts. It was impossible not to get pulled in.

The night wrapped up with everyone circled around the newlyweds, arm in arm, singing their hearts out to “Piano Man” and just soaking up the last few minutes of a night none of us wanted to end. It was one of those weddings where the dance floor was the main character—but the story behind it was something even better: a couple who planned their day exactly the way they wanted it, and invited all of us along for the ride.

If you’re planning your wedding in Pittsburgh and wondering if it’s okay to break the mold—Paige and Michael’s night was a loud, joyful, bride-and-groom-dancing-on-the-bar YES.
