Sophie & Nate Soaked Up Every Minute at The Grand Estate at Hidden Acres

Some couples spend so much of their wedding day moving from one thing to the next that they barely get a chance to enjoy the party they planned. That definitely wasn’t Sophie and Nate. They beamed all night, surrounded by their favorite people and fully invested in every part of the reception. They danced a ton, laughed with their guests, and seemed to genuinely love watching everyone have such a great time. That kind of energy is contagious, and when the newlyweds are having that much fun, everyone else wants to be part of it.

The celebration took place at The Grand Estate at Hidden Acres in Freeport, PA. The property’s historic feel gave the wedding a classic atmosphere, while the huge tent provided plenty of room for such an energetic crowd to celebrate together. On a perfect Western PA fall evening, it was a great combination of elegance and a relaxed family gathering. There were even a few porch geese watching over the wedding cake and cookie table! Once everyone settled in, you could tell the tent would become one very busy dance floor.

Sophie and Nate shared their first dance to Luke Combs’ “Be By You,” followed later by two really sweet parent dances. Sophie and her dad danced to “The Man Who Loves You The Most,” while Nate and his mom shared their moment to LANY’s “If This Is The Last Time.” Then came a tradition that brought practically everyone into the celebration: the polka bridal dance. Watching family and friends line up, join in, laugh, and keep the tradition going gave the reception a strong family feel and made it one of the most memorable parts of the evening.

The evening started with cocktails, which had a softer feel with string quartet pop arrangements, cello and piano instrumentals, and Bridgerton-style favorites, while dinner featured acoustic coffeehouse music, singer-songwriter selections, and jazz standards. Once dancing began, the entire personality of the reception changed. Disco, 80s pop, country, rock sing-alongs, 2000s hip-hop, and 2010s party music kept guests of every age involved, with that big family crowd filling the floor again and again. Sophie and Nate were right in the middle of it all, helping keep the energy going from beginning to end.

Sophie and Nate didn’t just host a great wedding for their family and friends, they also took time to enjoy every bit of it. Seeing how happy they were in the middle of that packed dance floor made the celebration feel even better, and Cancun sounds like the perfect place for them to finally catch their breath on a well-earned honeymoon!
