Pittsburgh Shrine Center

Spacious and built to host large gatherings, Pittsburgh Shrine Center offers one of the more expansive reception halls in the region. The grand ballroom provides significant square footage, giving couples the flexibility to design a layout that comfortably supports a large guest count without crowding the dance floor.
One of the distinctive features of the space is its tiered layout and sunken dance floor, which naturally draws attention to the center of the room. That structure helps keep introductions, toasts, and special dances visually focused even in a wide-open environment. The scale allows the celebration to build energy quickly once dancing begins.
Because of the size and configuration of the room, thoughtful sound coverage is important to ensure music and spoken moments carry clearly throughout the space. When coordinated carefully, the layout supports a lively reception while keeping guests engaged from every table.
Below is a look at how a wedding at the Pittsburgh Shrine Center comes together once the ballroom fills and the celebration gets underway.

Katie and Nathan (Pittsburgh Shrine Center Wedding Reception)

While I think it’s important to a couple’s wedding day to reflect their tastes and style, I find some of the most amazing weddings are those where the newlyweds include details that they know their guests will be able to enjoy. Katie and Nathan’s wedding reception was one that was perfectly suited to both them, as well as all of their friends and family. The result was a fabulous party that I know no one will soon forget!

The reception was held at The Pittsburgh Shrine Center in Cheswick, PA. The large ballroom made an amazing setting for dinner and dancing! Katie and Nathan left a lot of time for dancing, which allowed for plenty of time to play all types of music. Guests were able to sing and dance to hits from Neil Diamond and AC/DC, to TLC and Taylor Swift. Everyone was also treated to a fabulous late night pizza delivery to keep up their energy!

I had so much fun working with Katie and Nathan! Watching them spend so much time on the dance floor with their favorite people was a blast. At the end of the evening, their guests joined them for four special “last songs” where everyone danced, sang and got a little crazy. The newlyweds are soon off for a very well-deserved honeymoon in Antigua!

Alyssa and Tom (Syria Shriners Wedding)

While every wedding is full of people that are very happy for the newlyweds, occasionally I get to DJ a wedding where the guests are so over-the-top excited the energy uncontainable.  Alyssa and Tom held their wonderful wedding reception at the Syria Shiners Center in Chadwick, PA, and it was a celebration to be remembered by everyone.

The ballroom at the Syria Shriner’s was the perfect location for a large gathering of all their friends and family.  I was thrilled to get to provide uplighting and monogram which helped add a custom feel the room.

Guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of food and fun, and when the dancing started, no one was shy about joining in the party!

Working with Alyssa and Tom was so much fun, it was wonderful to see their friends and family so excited to be a part of their epic wedding day.  The happy couple is headed off to the Siesta Key in Florida, a romantic and hopefully relaxing honeymoon!
