Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe

Located in Washington County, the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe offers a clean, modern setting that works well for couples who want everything in one convenient location. With guest rooms, ceremony options, and reception space all under one roof, it keeps the day streamlined for both you and your guests.
The ballroom is well proportioned for dinner and a full dance floor, allowing the room to feel lively without being overcrowded. Its neutral tones provide a flexible backdrop that can lean classic or contemporary depending on the couple’s style. The layout keeps key moments centered so introductions, toasts, and special dances feel connected across the room.
When ceremonies or cocktail hours take place in separate areas, thoughtful sound placement ensures a smooth transition into the reception. Coordinated well with the venue team, the evening unfolds naturally from start to finish.

Kerri & Ty (Hilton Garden Inn DJ)

I just love when people throw creative flair into the the details that decorate their reception venue.  This Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn, there were many signs of Kerri DiGiovanni’s and Ty Lacock’s knack for creativity.

The first thing that caught most people’s attention were the signs that were featured at the bar, the cookie table, and everywhere.

Of course, Kerry and Ty were creative with their music selections as well.  During dinner they chose to mix in songs that had been the first dances for various family members’ weddings.  For dancing, they included a great mix of requests that were the perfect choices for their guests.

The newlyweds had their first dance to Roberta Flack’s “The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face”.  Such a quiet and romantic moment to kick off what would be the perfect evening.

After plenty of time for the guests to enjoy dinner, cake, the photobooth and an insane amount of cookies… it was time to start the celebration!

Kerri and Ty included tons of special touches for their reception that transformed this ballroom to match their style.  At the end of this elegant and stylish evening, the dance floor was still crowded with their guests chanting and clapping for the newlyweds as they headed off to start their new lives together.

Rachel and John (Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn DJ)

One of the things I love about my job is that I get to work with a wide variety of terrific clients, each with their own unique take on putting together their dream wedding.  I love people who get involved with me in making the music truly reflect who they are.  This weekend I was able to help Rachel Novosel and John Sada customize their reception at the Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn outside of Pittsburgh.  Their fun and easy going attitude made an evening that was a reflection of their wonderful personalities.

I work hard to make sure that my DJ equipment doesn’t take a way from the beauty and elegance of the venue.  For the past few years I’ve used systems by BOSE, which deliver wonderful sound without distracting from the romantic atmosphere of the room.   The Hilton Garden Inn looked amazing with spotlights featured on each centerpiece in the room.

One of my favorite parts of preparing for Rachel and John’s big day was pulling their music together.  Their music choices were fun and different, even for dinner.  Guests were commenting on how great the selection was.  Everything from country, rock, top 40, oldies and more made the reception feel special and customized.

Rachel made a beautiful bride and her dress was simply stunning.  It was clear that John couldn’t take his eyes off of his new wife.

After a few formal dances, the party began.  The wide variety of music gave everyone a chance to get to the dance floor.

Rachel and John were so much fun to work with.  They had a strong sense of what they wanted for their special day, but also gave their guests the opportunity to hear the songs they wanted to enjoy as well.  The best part of being a wedding DJ is getting to play events like this that are so extraordinary and different.  I was thrilled to help Rachel and John end their big day having the time of the lives.
