DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Greentree

Conveniently located just outside downtown, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Green Tree offers a reception setting that keeps everything centralized and easy for guests. With hotel rooms and multiple event spaces under one roof, it simplifies logistics while still providing a polished atmosphere for a full celebration.
The ballrooms are spacious and adaptable, comfortably supporting dinner service and a full dance floor. Their open layout helps keep introductions and toasts visually centered so guests remain connected from table to table. The neutral interior gives couples flexibility in shaping the atmosphere to match their style.
When ceremonies or cocktail hours take place in adjoining areas, thoughtful sound placement ensures smooth transitions into the reception. Coordinated well with the venue team, the evening flows naturally from dinner into a lively dance floor.
Below is a look at how a wedding at the DoubleTree in Greentree comes together once the ballroom fills and the celebration begins.

Rachel and Robb (DoubleTree Hotel Wedding DJ)

Most people assume that DJs are only excited to perform at huge events.  Personally I find there is something special about being asked to provide music for smaller, more intimate wedding receptions.  Rachael Keene and Robb Poore allowed me to be part of their special day held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greentree, PA just outside of Pittsburgh.

One of the DoubleTree’s beautiful banquet rooms was prepared to receive the newlyweds’ friends and family after the ceremony.

One of the fun parts of DJing for a smaller group is that you really get a chance to play songs for everyone.  Rachel and Robb allowed tons of flexibility in their playlist to be sure to keep the fun going late into the evening.

Rachel and Robb’s first dance was sweet and romantic.

After dinner it was time to relax and get a little crazy!

I’ve had the pleasure of living across the street from the Keene’s, and was so excited to be part of this celebration.  After Rachel’s parents had a special dance, all the kids surrounded them for a giant hug.  This has to be my favorite moment of the entire day!

A few hotel workers questioned how late the reception might go considering the amount of guests.  I assured them that it was going to be a fun and wild celebration, and it certainly was.  After an hour or so past the original ending time, it was time to say goodnight.  Rachel and Robb’s romantic wedding reception gave them plenty of time to visit with each of their guests, which made this day even more special for everyone.
