SNPJ Lodge 138

Located in the South Hills, SNPJ Lodge 138 offers a reception space that is straightforward, spacious, and built to host large gatherings. The hall has a long-standing presence in the community and provides a practical layout that keeps the focus on the celebration itself.
The ballroom supports a full guest count with room for dinner service and a generous dance floor. Its open design allows introductions, toasts, and special dances to feel centered rather than scattered. The space is adaptable, giving couples flexibility in how they arrange seating and define the dance area.
Because of the scale of the room, thoughtful sound placement ensures music and spoken moments carry clearly from front to back. When coordinated carefully, the evening builds naturally from formal moments into a lively reception.
Below is a look at how a wedding at SNPJ Bridgeville comes together once guests arrive and the celebration begins.

Danielle and Brian (SNPJ Bridgeville)

It’s such a thrill for me to work with couples who are as passionate about music as I am.  Danielle and Brian spent a great deal of time curating an amazingly diverse and fun music list for their wonderful wedding reception held at the SNPJ in Bridgeville, PA.

Music wasn’t the only custom touch they made for their special day, among their fun decorations was this cake topper featuring them and their puppies!

Danielle and Brian told me their friends and family would be quick to get up on the dance floor, and they didn’t disappoint!  Everyone had a great time dancing and getting wild to some great music.  It was clear at the end of the night that no one was ready for the night to end.  The newlyweds put together the perfect soundtrack for an unforgettable celebration.

Emily and Matt (Alpine Room, SNPJ DJ)

With all the things to coordinate for the wedding day, will you remember to have fun?  It’s so easy to get caught up in the stress, but it’s important to take time and relax, be goofy and just embrace the good times.  At the reception of Emily Oswald and Matthew Milbert, there was plenty of fun to be had.  This happy and relaxed couple was sure to enjoy every moment of their celebration at the Apline Room in the SNPJ.

Their guests had a great laugh when they saw this unique fishing themed groom’s cake.

Emily and Matt had a good time selecting music for their big day as well.  They came up with a fun 90’s oriented dinner playlist which set a great upbeat tone for the evening.

Amongst all this fun, of course, there were sweet moments as well…

With the formal festivities out of the way, all of their guests were able to join in the celebration.  What an awesome party!

As the last song began to play, Emily and Matt were smiling, laughing, and surrounded by their closest friends and family members.  All the planning they had done allowed them to relax and truly enjoy every moment of their big day.  Their next stop was the special after-party bonfire, then in the morning, the newlyweds were off to enjoy their tropical honeymoon.

Amy and Josh (Alpine Room DJ)

There are some things you just can’t control on your wedding day.  Probably the biggest is the weather.   In Western PA, you never know if you’re going to get a heat wave or a downpour.  All you can do is accept what comes and pray for the best.  The weather didn’t seem like it was on our side while I was the DJ for Amy Stausbaugh and Josh Friday at their wedding ceremony and reception at the Alpine Room in Enon Valley, PA.

The rain was extremlely heavy while everyone was getting ready for the ceremony, but Amy’s attitude was upbeat and positive.  She told me “they say a little rain is good luck, so it looks like we’re having TONS of luck today!”  About an hour before the ceremony began, the clouds parted and even a little sun shown down.  Perfect for Amy’s entrance on horse drawn carriage!

Amy made it clear that they wanted their night to be fun and full of all types of music.  Throughout the day we covered everything from classical, country, rock, oldies, pop, and dance.

Their reception was prepared to be sure everyone could relax and have a great time.  A huge cookie table and photo booth awaited their guests as they arrived for cocktail hour.  After the grand entrance the newlyweds had a very touching and sweet first dance.

After dinner Amy danced with her father.  I just love this picture.

Finally it was time to open up the dance floor and celebrate!

I love that Amy and Josh didn’t let the potentially bad weather worry them, and instead made sure that their day would be fantastic no matter what.  They are now off to a well earned honeymoon in Hawaii where I’m sure they’ll find many ways to enjoy paradise, regardless of the forecast..

Kendra and Ryan (Alpine Room, SNPJ DJ)

Of all the places I’ve been, no place is more diverse than the areas in and around Pittsburgh.  All you need to do is travel 25 miles in any direction and suddenly you’ll find yourself in a unique neighborhood with it’s own culture, traditions and musical tastes.  While everyone still has their “Pittsburgh-ness” about them, it’s fun to see how different groups of people celebrate as I travel around to DJ such wonderful receptions.  This past weekend I headed out of the city and into the country to the Alpine Room, located in the SNPJ in Enon Valley, PA for the reception of Kendra Neely and Ryan Werner.

The SNPJ was decorated beautifully and the details throughout the room were awesome.  Western PA is famous for cookie tables, my weakness is always those buckeyes!

I’ve known Kendra and Ryan for years and was thrilled when they approached me to DJ their reception.  While they were relaxed and easy going about their music, I still knew their musical preferences would be largely Country & Western.  I was able to gather a selection of music for them that covered every genre, but created a vibe that was a perfect fit for these two.

The room was filled with friends I hadn’t seen for a long time.  There were 3 couples at the reception whose weddings I DJ’ed!  One of their daughters came up to dance with the groom (along with grandma).

Kendra and Ryan’s wedding reception was a tremendous celebration.  Their friends and family were so excited to come and FINALLY get to see them celebrate their love.  I can’t thank them enough for making me a part of everything.
