Green Gables

Tucked just north of the city, Green Gables Restaurant offers a reception space that feels warm and established the moment you walk in. The setting carries a quiet elegance without feeling formal for the sake of it, which makes it easy for couples to shape the atmosphere around their own style.
The ballroom’s woodwork is what truly defines the room. Rich paneling, exposed beams, and natural tones give the space depth and character before any décor is added. That warmth translates beautifully during dinner and creates an inviting backdrop once the dance floor opens. The layout supports a full guest count and a generous dance area while still keeping everyone visually connected.
Because the room has so much built-in texture, thoughtful lighting and sound placement help enhance the space without overpowering it. When coordinated well, the evening feels cohesive from introductions through the last song.

Abigail and Luke (Green Gables Wedding Reception)

Selecting the right music for your wedding day is like setting the soundtrack to your love story. While some couples delve into meticulous playlists that accompany every moment, Abigail and Luke chose a different route. With a handful of cherished tunes in their pocket, they entrusted me as their DJ to create a vibrant playlist that would infuse their day with magic and make it an absolute hit!

Their enchanting wedding reception unfolded against the backdrop of Green Gables in Jennerstown—an idyllic venue that set the stage for a celebration like no other. The air was filled with anticipation as family and friends gathered to honor the couple’s love story.

Abigail and Luke’s approach to music allowed me the creative freedom to curate a dynamic mix, spanning genres from country to rap, a medley that kept their loved ones grooving all night. It was a sight to behold, witnessing guests of all ages unite in dance, exuberance, and shared joy.

Working with Abigail and Luke was an absolute delight, and it was heartwarming to see them create cherished moments alongside their closest companions. Their trust in me to orchestrate the musical magic was a privilege, and the festivities could have easily continued long into the night. As they embark on this new chapter together, I want to say my sincerest congratulations to Abigail and Luke!

Hannah and Connor (Green Gables Wedding Reception)

Choosing the right venue for a wedding reception can be tricky business.  Couples want to find a place that will match their style as well as accommodate all the needs of their family and friends.  I can’t imagine a more perfect match for Hannah and Connor’s big celebration than the beautiful and unique Green Gables in Jennerstown, PA.

The main ballroom at Green Gables was the perfect spot for what would be a celebration of epic proportions.  Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner before an unforgettable dance party.  Hannah and Connor showed a little Pittsburgh love as all of the guests’ cards were tiny Heinz Ketchup bottles!

Hannah and Connor told me that their guests would be ready for a party, and they certainly did not disappoint!  Everyone packed the dance floor even as more tables were moved out of the way.  I believe the celebration could have lasted all weekend long, but eventually we had to play the last few songs.  The newlyweds were literally surrounded by all of their favorite people one more time in a moment I’m sure no one will forget.  Now they get to head off to an even more perfect location as they enjoy a well-deserved honeymoon in Maui.

Janette and Chris (Green Gables Wedding DJ)

Most of the weddings I play are located in downtown Pittsburgh, or in the surrounding communities, but every once in a while I get to travel a little further away from home to be a part of a couple’s special day.  I find that even though these trips require a little more time and coordination, it typically turns out to be something special and unique that makes the trip worth while.  That was certainly the case at Janette Ogline and Chris Scott’s ceremony and reception held at Green Gables in Jennerstown, PA .

Green Gables is located a little over 90 minutes from Pittsburgh, but once I arrived there it was clear why Janette and Chris chose this beautiful venue for their celebration.

I was able to provide music for the ceremony held on the patio.  It was a crisp fall day, which made for a beautiful backdrop as the couple exchanged their vows.

Janette, Chris and I talked a lot about the music for their big day.  They made sure to include a wide selection that would please their guests throughout the day.

After a relaxing cocktail hour and dinner, the newlyweds had their first dance as husband and wife.

Janette and Chris had planned an intimate reception for themselves and about 75 of their closest friends and family.  The relaxed pace of the day allowed for lots of time for everyone to visit, dance, and celebrate.

As midnight approached, the newlyweds held their last dance along with their closest of friends.  Janette and Chris had found the perfect location which suited their needs as well as their style.  I’m so glad they invited me to be part of this unique and beautiful day.
