Rivers Casino

Set along the North Shore, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh offers one of the most impressive riverfront views in the city. The event spaces overlook the water and skyline, giving receptions a backdrop that feels unmistakably Pittsburgh, especially as the sun sets and the lights reflect across the river.
The ballroom is modern and spacious, with large windows that keep the view present throughout dinner and dancing. There is ample room for a full guest count and an energetic dance floor without the space feeling oversized. The layout allows for a natural progression from cocktail hour into the main reception while keeping everything visually connected.
What truly stands out here is the staff. The team is attentive, organized, and consistently professional. They work closely with me on event day, including allowing direct connection into their overhead house sound system when appropriate. That coordination creates seamless audio coverage for ceremonies and cocktail hours without the need for additional visible equipment, keeping the space clean while ensuring every word is heard clearly.

Abby & Josh Turned Their Vision Into an Unforgettable Celebration at Rivers Casino

There are some weddings where you can tell the couple had a vision from the very beginning. Abby and Josh’s wedding was one of those. They spent countless hours planning special moments, choreographed dances, music cues, and thoughtful details that reflected who they are. The best part was that once the day finally arrived, all of that preparation allowed them to simply enjoy themselves. They were able to be present with their family and friends, knowing everything they had worked so hard to create was coming together exactly as they had imagined.

Their celebration took place at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, and it was the perfect setting for such a detailed wedding day. The ceremony was held outside at the casino’s riverside amphitheater, giving everyone a beautiful view of the water as Abby and Josh said their vows. Inside, the ballroom was filled with natural light from the large windows, making the room feel bright and welcoming all afternoon. I’ve always appreciated the staff at Rivers Casino, too. They are some of the most helpful people I’ve worked with, and they helped everything flow smoothly from one part of the day to the next.

The reception was filled with personal touches that made it unmistakably Abby and Josh’s. Guests were welcomed by a photobooth, guest phone book, and a table with cat and dog toys, gifts from the couple’s own pets, which immediately had everyone smiling. They even designed custom wedding-themed T-shirts that guests could purchase as a fun keepsake from the day. Every detail felt intentional without ever feeling overdone. It all reflected the time and care they had poured into creating an experience that was meaningful for the people they love.

The music followed that same thoughtful approach throughout the reception. Cocktails began with modern country favorites before dinner settled into a mix of country ballads, timeless love songs, and soulful classics. One of my favorite parts of the evening was seeing guests make song requests throughout dinner and dancing. Those requests helped shape the soundtrack while keeping everyone involved in the celebration. Once the dance floor opened, every generation found their moment. Country fans, classic rock lovers, hip-hop enthusiasts, and guests looking for pop and dance favorites all had their chance to fill the floor. The energy stayed high until the very end, when everyone gathered for one last dance before lining the hallway with ribbons to send the newlyweds off. Just before joining their family and friends, Abby and Josh shared one final private dance together to “Then,” a quiet moment before stepping back into the excitement waiting outside.

I’ve been fortunate to DJ a lot of weddings throughout Pittsburgh, and this one reminded me how special it is when a couple fully embraces the planning process while never losing sight of what the day is really about. Abby and Josh created so many one-of-a-kind moments that their guests will be talking about for years to come. I have no doubt they’ll carry that same sense of adventure with them as they set sail on their Disney Cruise to the Bahamas to begin this next chapter together.

Friends, Family, and a Night to Remember – Mary & Randy at Rivers Casino

Mary and Randy’s wedding at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh was all about focusing on what really matters: celebrating with the people you love most. With over 230 guests filling the Rivers Ballroom, the day was filled with laughter, visiting, dancing, and plenty of special moments that reflected the couple’s fun personalities.

The ballroom itself looked incredible. Rivers Casino is such a great space for weddings because it combines a sleek, modern style with gorgeous views of the city. The couple took full advantage of it by booking the venue for an extra hour, giving them more time to relax and enjoy their day without feeling rushed. That extra hour meant more visiting, more dancing, and more memories made with family and friends.

One of the coolest parts of the night was the birthday photo tradition they created. I announced each month one at a time, and everyone with a birthday in that month came up for photos with the newlyweds. It was hilarious, joyful, and such a unique way to make every single guest feel included in their celebration.

Of course, the dance floor was the place to be. With many hours of open dancing, we had the chance to fit in just about every style of music—oldies, pop, country, R&B, rap, 80’s, 90’s, and today’s hits. Guests were up and down throughout the evening, enjoying the music, catching up with old friends, and jumping back into the party when their favorite songs came on. It had the perfect mix of high-energy fun and those sweet singalong moments everyone loves.

The night ended on the most unforgettable note. Guests circled around Mary and Randy as we played two final songs—one of them hilariously perfect for the moment: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”… in September! Everyone was laughing, singing at the top of their lungs, and celebrating right up until the very last second.

It was such an amazing night, and I had an absolute blast being their DJ. Mary and Randy built a wedding that was uniquely theirs, focused on joy, family, and plenty of fun—and it couldn’t have been better.

Epic Dance Floor Vibes at Haley & Steve’s Rivers Casino Wedding

Winter weddings in Pittsburgh are something special. The city skyline twinkling outside the window, the cozy vibe inside, and the energy of friends and family ready to celebrate—it all came together for Haley and Steve’s unforgettable wedding at the Bridges Ballroom at Rivers Casino. And when I say it was a party, I mean it was a party.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was set. Haley and Steve chose beautiful instrumental music for the pre-ceremony, creating a serene and heartfelt vibe as everyone took their seats. The ceremony itself was deeply personal and emotional, and they even found a way to incorporate some unexpected references from the Wu-Tang Clan during one of the readings—definitely a first, and definitely amazing. It was the perfect representation of who they are as a couple: fun, unique, and full of personality.

The Bridges Ballroom at Rivers Casino is an absolutely stunning reception space, offering a breathtaking view of Pittsburgh that creates the perfect backdrop for any celebration. With its elegant design and floor-to-ceiling windows, guests can enjoy the twinkling city lights while dancing the night away. It’s the perfect blend of sophistication and fun.

Their grand entrance set the tone for the night—full of energy and fun, just like Haley and Steve. It was the perfect way to kick off an evening of celebration. Haley and Steve shared their first dance, a beautifully heartfelt moment that had everyone feeling the love.

And then… the dance floor opened up. And wow. Haley and Steve knew exactly how to get the party started. They curated an epic mix of fun and energetic hits that had EVERYONE on their feet. It was a perfect blend of nostalgic throwbacks and modern dance favorites, creating a high-energy atmosphere that kept the dance floor packed all night long.

One of the coolest things about this wedding was how it truly reflected Haley and Steve’s personalities. Their guests were so much fun—friendly, welcoming, and ready to dance the night away. It was obvious that these two are surrounded by an incredible group of people who love them deeply.

We closed out the night on a high note, sending everyone off with big smiles and unforgettable memories. It was the perfect ending to an amazing celebration.

I can’t thank Haley and Steve enough for letting me be part of their big day. They showed that when you choose music that reflects your style while also including a little something for everyone, you create a night that people will be talking about for years to come.

Congratulations again to the happy couple! Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and epic dance parties!

Kiera and Matt (Rivers Casino Wedding)

You may have guessed that I love music. Even more than that, I love working with couples that love music. It’s fun for me to get to customize a wedding soundtrack that’s perfect for the wedding day. Kiera and Matt knew exactly how to tweak the music for their epic celebration held at the wonderful Rivers Casino is Pittsburgh, PA.

Rivers Casino provided the perfect space for a wedding reception that no one will soon forget. I worked with Kiera and Matt to make custom versions of their special dances, and it really helped keep the party moving along perfectly. Guests were then treated to a fabulous dinner, followed by a stunning Pittsburgh cookie table. This all left plenty of time for the dance party, featuring songs that allowed everyone to join in.

All of Kiera and Matt’s hard work paid off as they were able to spend lots of time with all of their favorite people. Everyone danced and cheered all night long before making their way to the casino for even more time with the newlyweds. I had so much fun helping make this day a success, and can’t thank Kiera and Matt enough for sharing their passion for music with me!
