October in Western PA can give you the kind of wedding day that just feels perfect, and Sarah and Kerry got exactly that. The leaves were changing, the air had that crisp fall edge, and everyone seemed ready to enjoy being outside together. Their wedding had plenty of beautiful, romantic moments, but underneath it all was so much love and energy. You could tell this group was going to have fun.

The celebration took place at Willowbrook in Volant, PA, with the ceremony tucked beside the creek beneath the willow tree. It was such a natural setting for Sarah and Kerry to exchange the vows they had written themselves, with Radiant Strings providing live music around them. Later, the patio became the center of the celebration, letting everyone enjoy that perfect fall evening while the reception shifted from dinner into dancing.

The personal moments throughout the day made everything feel even more connected to their families. Sarah’s aunt and family put together a fantastic Pittsburgh cookie table, giving everyone plenty to sample throughout the night. As evening settled in, Sarah and Kerry shared their first dance outside on the patio to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” Sarah and her dad Marty followed with their father-daughter dance to Taylor Swift’s “Never Grow Up,” giving everyone another sweet moment before the party took off.

Cocktails mixed singer-songwriter favorites, acoustic pop, soul, and jazz standards, while dinner had a softer feel with contemporary string arrangements of pop songs and ballads. Once open dancing started, the patio came alive. Disco and funk, 2000s pop and hip-hop, EDM, and country gave guests of every age something to sing along with or dance to, and the energy stayed high as the night moved from one style to another. It was a blast watching people jump into songs from yesterday and today without worrying about whether they knew every word.

What I’ll remember most about Sarah and Kerry’s wedding is how naturally everything seemed to fit together. The fall setting felt romantic, the ceremony felt personal, and once the reception started, their friends and family brought exactly the kind of energy they hoped for. Now they get to trade a crisp Pennsylvania fall for a honeymoon in Belize, which sounds like a pretty fantastic way to begin married life.
