The best wedding receptions are the ones where you can look around the room and see people truly enjoying being together. That was exactly the feeling throughout Addie and Frank’s celebration. They made it a priority to spend time with their family and friends, and you could tell how much it meant to them to share the evening making new memories with the people they love most.

Their celebration took place at The Atlee in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, one of the newer wedding venues in Beaver County. The space was a perfect fit for a summer wedding, with natural light pouring through the large windows and high ceilings with exposed wooden beams giving the room a warm, open feel. It was a beautiful setting for guests to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening together.

One of my favorite moments of the entire reception came from Addie’s mother, who arranged for Johnny Esposito from the Pittsburgh Banjo Club to make a special appearance and lead everyone in “Yes We Have No Bananas.” Addie had spent years enjoying the Banjo Club’s performances, so watching her reaction to such a thoughtful surprise was one of those moments that remind me how personal and meaningful weddings can be.

The music matched the spirit of the celebration from beginning to end. Cocktails had a classic feel with jazz standards and timeless swing while dinner moved into a relaxed mix of acoustic, singer-songwriter, and indie favorites. When it was time to dance, the entire room came alive. There was something for every generation, from disco and classic rock to throwback hip-hop and dance-pop favorites. Addie and Frank’s friends especially brought incredible energy to the dance floor. Every time a new song started, the cheers and singing somehow became even louder, and the party kept building all the way until the very end of the night.

I had the chance to meet Addie and Frank a couple of years before their wedding, so being asked to celebrate this day with them as their wedding DJ meant a lot to me. They are the kind of couple who make you feel like part of the celebration, and their joy was impossible not to share. I’m so happy they were able to begin their next chapter surrounded by so much love before heading off to enjoy a well-earned honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
