Chase and Mariah’s wedding had that great feeling where nobody seemed like they were just there to watch. Their friends and family were part of the celebration from the beginning, and the whole reception felt relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun. That fit Chase and Mariah perfectly. They wanted something indie-romantic and laid-back, but they also wanted everyone they loved to have a reason to jump in and enjoy the night with them.

The celebration took place at the Beaver Station Cultural & Event Center in Beaver, PA, and the different spaces gave each part of the wedding its own feel. Guests gathered outside at the Belvedere gazebo for the ceremony, then moved inside for dinner and the special dances before eventually heading into the courtyard for the party. Even Chase and Mariah’s cats found a way to be part of the reception, appearing on custom napkins at the bar and cookie table. Those little personal details made the whole place feel much more like their wedding than simply a venue hosting one.

Musically, the night had plenty of variety without losing that relaxed personality. Cocktails mixed jazz standards and Rat Pack-era favorites with indie folk, while dinner leaned further into indie folk, indie rock, and singer-songwriter music. Then the courtyard completely changed character once open dancing began. For more than three hours, I was able to move through 2010s pop, classic rock, 80s favorites, and throwback hip-hop, with guests of every age finding their way onto the floor. It was especially fun watching different groups rotate in and out depending on what connected with them, while the party itself never really slowed down.

What stayed with me about Chase and Mariah’s reception was how naturally everyone fit into it. No one group was having fun while everyone else watched. Friends, parents, relatives, and younger guests all found their moments, which is exactly how a celebration should feel for everyone. Chase and Mariah have three days at Disney World and a Southern Caribbean cruise ahead of them, which seems like a pretty great way to continue the adventure together.
