Margaux and Zach (Pennsylvanian Wedding)

I’ve been fortunate to DJ quite of a lot of weddings in my lifetime. One of my absolute favorite parts of working with couples is seeing what ideas they come up with to make their day unique. I’m pretty sure Margaux and Zach made it to the top of my list for their beautiful wedding held at the Pennsylvanian in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

Margaux surprised her new husband with a song written specifically for them to use as their first dance. She worked with a professional musician to include lyrics that summed up their relationship beautifully. It was such a fantastic moment and one I can guarantee their friends and family will be talking about for years to come.

Obviously the newlyweds made a ton of other fantastic decisions including their amazing stunning decor as well as song choices which made for a amazing celebration!

I love how Margaux used music to show Zach how important their relationship is to him and all of their guests. I also love that they will have a special song that is truly “their song” and belongs to no one else. I was just thrilled to be part of Margaux and Zach’s wedding day and I know it’s one I won’t soon forget.

Katrina and Rocco (Lingrow Farm Wedding Reception)

There’s so much to worry and stress over when planning for your wedding day. Not every couple has the ability to truly relax and enjoy the day and treasure each special moment as it happens. Katrina and Rocco could offer a MasterClass in making the most of every second of the biggest celebration of their lives. It was awesome seeing them smile and laugh throughout their wonderful reception held at Lingrow Farm in Leechburg, PA.

Lingrow Farm offers a beautiful space both indoors and outside. It was the perfect spot to create what will be cherished memories for all of Katrina and Rocco’s guests, especially the newlyweds wonderfully choreographed first dance! Everyone was then treated to a fabulous meal, delicious cookies and an amazing fireworks display over the lake.

Katrina and Rocco also included some special music for me to provide during the reception, but also allowed their guests to make requests (including a salsa and a Christmas song!). It was wonderful seeing the happy couple enjoying their day to the fullest on their perfect once-in-a-lifetime celebration!

Shannon and Ben (MuseumLab Wedding)

As a DJ, I love to work with couples who have a real passion for music. While not everyone is interested in providing lots of song options for me to use at their wedding reception, it’s great fun for me to play songs throughout the day that really reflect the music tastes of the newlyweds. Shannon and Ben did such an amazing job providing me with song suggestions that covered practically every genre for their wonderful wedding held at the MuseumLab in Pittsburgh, PA.

One of the newer venues in Pittsburgh, the MuseumLab provides a truly unique aesthetic and a variety of wonderful spaces which Shannon and Ben used fabulously throughout the day. There were beautiful details everywhere you looked including a two story feature wall which was absolutely stunning. While guests enjoyed moving throughout the space for the ceremony and reception, I was able to provide music from Shannon & Ben’s request lists including songs from the 60’s through today. It’s always a good sign when I receive compliments on the music during cocktail hour!

Shannon and Ben also included some fabulous dance song request for me to play. The wide variety of music made sure all of their guests would have a chance to hit the dance floor! As the night came to an end, it was clear no one was ready to go home… thankfully the newlyweds had prepared for everyone to head over and continue the party at the after party. I’m so glad I was able to provide the soundtrack for their once-in-a-lifetime celebration!

Kelsey and Jonathan (Rustic Acre Farm Wedding)

Weddings are such an amazing way to share your favorite things with all of your favorite people. Long gone are the days of generic wedding “staples”, and instead couples can have fun putting together a celebration that truly is a reflection of themselves. I had such a great time working with Kelsey and Jonathan for their one-of-a-kind wedding held on a perfect summer day at Rustic Acre Farm.

Kelsey and Jonathan held their ceremony under the big willow tree near a beautiful lake. This included a fabulous reading of dialogue from “The Princess Bride” which, for me, couldn’t have been more perfect. After that guests were treated to corn hole, dinner, an ice cream station and a cookie tables with treats for both humans and their dogs!

Of course there was plenty of time for dancing as well! Kelsey and Jonathan allowed lots of different kinds of music throughout the night, which gave all their guests opportunity to listen and dance to their favorite songs. To top off the night, guests gathered outside for a wonderful sparkler exit to wish the newlyweds all the best on their new lives together!

Madeline and Tim (Wintergarden at PPG Place Wedding Reception)

So what happens when you’re forced to reschedule your wedding THREE times? For Madeline and Tim, all their patience and hard work paid off with an absolutely incredible celebration where friends and family came together to celebrate like crazy and have the time of their lives.

The reception we held at the stunning Wintergarden at PPG Place. The large and beautiful venue looked amazing and provided plenty of space for guests to enjoy an evening full of joy, love, and some of the wildest dancers I’ve ever seen!

There was such an amazing amount of fun and positive energy all night long, I’m confident no one was ready for the evening to come to an end. Thankfully Madeline and Tim planned ahead as everyone headed off to enjoy the after party which featured a french fry bar! The newlyweds special weekend even included a day-after after-party where they can enjoy some more time with all of their favorite people before heading off for a seriously well-deserved honeymoon in Hawaii!

Jessica and David (Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Wedding Reception)

One of the top concerns I hear from couples is about how there might not be enough time to do everything they want to include on their wedding day. It’s easy to see how time will pass too quickly on of a day filled with your favorite people, favorite foods and of course, favorite music. Jessica and David made many excellent choices for their reception, but I think one of the best was to plan for a day that allowed plenty of time for many special moments, lots of visiting, and tons of dancing!

Their reception was held at the wonderful Pittsburgh Airport Marriott in Moon Township, PA. The ballroom looked fabulous with great lighting, pink linens and a custom monogram above the head table. One of the great things about the Marriott is the option to use the ballroom for a lot longer than other venues allowed. This gave Jessica and David lots of time to really enjoy once-in-a-lifetime moments with their friends and family.

Jessica and David’s celebration gave everyone plenty of opportunity to visit with family they haven’t seen for a long time, and also allowed them time to enjoy a great ice cream bar AND a late night snack of chicken fingers! At the end of the night there was a still a huge group of people who circled the dance floor to wish the newlyweds all the best on this new chapter of their lives. The newlyweds are now taking a little time to bask in the success of their big day before heading off for a European honeymoon later this year.
