Clairissa and Luke (Laube Hall Wedding Reception)

Wedding receptions can be many things, but most of all, they should be FUN! It’s so easy to get caught up in the stress of the big day, I think it’s great when I see couples let go and just enjoy all the wonderfulness that is going on around them. Clairissa and Luke were the perfect example of this as they were able to spend lots of quality time with their family and friends during their epic celebration at the wonderful Laube Hall in Freeport, PA.

Laube Hall is a fabulous venue with lots of room and a great big dance floor. I was glad I could provide the uplighting and a monogram for Clairissa and Luke, but I don’t think anything topped their awesome cat themed cake topper! Once dinner and the formal dances were complete, everyone was ready for a dance party that included everything from Top 40 to Country to some classic hits.

Clairissa and Luke were sure to enjoy every moment of their wonderful celebration. Every time I would look, they were engaged with their guests, and everyone laughing, singing and dancing all the way until the very last song. After all of the excitement, the happy couple will finally get a chance to slow down as they head off to the Riviera Maya for a well-deserved honeymoon.

Hannah and Ryan (Hartwood Acres Mansion)

Many people are invited to quite a few weddings over the course of their lifetime, so I think it’s great when a couple chooses to add some unique details to their big day. By making their celebration a little different than the norm, they treat their guests to a wonderful time that they will never forget. Hannah and Ryan’s wedding at the Hartwood Acres Mansion featured lots of fun and memorable details that I’m sure their friends and family will be talking about for years to come.

The ceremony and reception were held outside on one of the most perfect summer days we’ve had in the Pittsburgh area. Guests were then encouraged to mingle and roam the beautiful venue for both cocktails and the strolling dinner. Instead of traditional assigned seating, this allowed guests to move about and enjoy time with friends both old and new. After dinner, everyone gathered in the pavilion for the parent dances (where they broke out their terrible towels) and an epic dance party with music from both yesterday and today.

Hannah and Ryan put together a fabulous celebration that took full advantage of the wonderful spaces at Hartwood Acres Mansion. Guests of all ages spent their time visiting, dancing and singing all the way to the very last song. Everyone then piled onto the shuttle to go spend more time with the newlyweds at the after party. I’m positive all of Hannah and Ryan’s friends and family will be telling everyone they know about this awesome couple and their fabulous celebration.

Amanda and Matt (Gathering Place Wedding)

Music always plays such a huge part of every wedding. I find it most fun when couples find ways to incorporate a wide variety of song styles so that all of their guests will be able to enjoy themselves throughout the day. Amanda and Matt did an amazing job picking the soundtrack for their wonderful wedding held at the beautiful Gathering Place in Darlington, PA.

The Gathering Place provides an amazing space for ceremony, cocktails and the reception all with an amazing view of the Darlington Lake. Amanda and Matt chose songs for their day that offered a wonderful mix of old and new. Everything from classical music to oldies, country, rock and top 40 made for an excellent playlist for all of their friends and family to enjoy.

The newlyweds spent their day with all of the people in the their lives that mean to the most to them. They all had a fabulous evening of laughing, singing and some epic dancing. It was such a thrill for me to be part of it all. The happy couple will soon be on their way to Aruba for a well-earned honeymoon.

Cassidy and Mick (The Vineyards at Pine Lake Wedding)

Every couple has their own vision as to what will make their wedding day absolutely perfect. From the moment I met with Cassidy and Mick, it was clear that the most important thing for both of them was that their big day would be one where all of their friends and family would have the times of the their lives. They far exceeded anyone’s expectations during their amazingly wonderful ceremony and celebration held on a gorgeous summer day at the Vineyards at Pine Lake in Columbiana, Ohio.

Words simply can not express how beautiful of a setting Pine Lake was as the happy couple exchanged their vows. Mick surprised Cassidy by singing a fabulous rendition of the Luke Combs song “Crazy Beautiful” during the ceremony.

One of my favorite moments of the night was seeing Cassidy and Mick dance with their parents. In all the hectic moments of a wedding day, it’s special when the couple gets to stop for moments like these. Once the formal dances were complete, it was time to celebrate!!!

Cassidy and Mick’s wedding day perfectly matched their style and included special details and treats that all of their guests could enjoy. The newlyweds are soon headed off for a little well-deserved alone time as they travel to Colorado for a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon!

Bridget and Ryan (Slippery Rock University Wedding Reception)

Being a DJ, it’s always fun for me to work with couples who love all sorts of music. It’s always great when newlyweds provide me with a list of special songs that are unique to their tastes so I can use that to make their day extra perfect. Bridget and Ryan spent some serious time developing an awesome playlist for me to use at their celebration, it couldn’t have been better. Their reception was held at the Robert M Smith Student Center at Slippery Rock University.

The Student Center at Slippery Rock provided a wonderfully large space for all of Bridget and Ryan’s friends and family to enjoy an evening of fun. I was thrilled to provide some uplighting and a monogram to help customize the space for the celebration.

The songs that I played throughout the evening was diverse and entertaining. Guests were able to enjoy every style of music from oldies, rock, country and top 40. This made for a dance party everyone could enjoy.

Bridget and Ryan put together an amazing party from beginning to end for their closest friends and family. The evening allowed lots of time for visiting, dancing and celebrating. After all their hard worked paid off, the happy couple will soon be off for a well-deserved honeymoon in Greece!

Stefanie and David (Veltres Event Center Wedding)

When people find out that I’m a wedding DJ, one of the first questions tends to be “Did you DJ your own reception?”. To make a long story short, yes, I did… but it’s certainly not something I’d recommend. When you work as a DJ, finding someone else to play such an important part of your big day can be a very daunting task. It’s why I was thrilled when Stephanie and David chose me for their entertainment since David and his brother Vince regularly DJ at weddings throughout the Pittsburgh area. It was great fun for me to work with an experienced professional and even more fun to watch everything unfold at their beautiful celebration held at the Veltre’s Wedding & Event Centre in Plum, PA.

The event centre offers lots of beautiful spaces with spectacular views. Everything was beautifully decorated with personal touches everywhere for the happy couple’s guests to enjoy.

Once dinner was over, everyone moved to a large and fabulous lounge/bar area for dancing, singing and lots of celebrating!

Stefanie and David put lots of special and memorable touches into their wedding reception. There were special introductions for every member of the bridal party, a perfectly Pittsburgh themed cookie table, and songs from every genre imaginable to keep all their guests happy and dancing all night long. The hardest part of the night was having it end all too soon. The newlyweds were literally surrounded by all their favorite people as everyone moved in for a giant hug as the last song ended. I feel confident David had no regrets not being his own DJ as he and Stefanie headed off with their friends and family to start their new lives together.
