Nisha and Justin (Bramblewood Wedding)

A wedding day can be full of surprises. It’s such a big day with so many moving pieces, it’s great to work with a couple who is ready to embrace anything and everything that will happen. Nisha and Justin were all in and ready for a one-of-kind celebration for their wedding held at Bramblewood in McDonald, PA.

Their ceremony was held on a perfect summer day near the lake at Bramblewood before guests made their way to the barn for an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Nisha and Justin’s guest book was one of the coolest I’ve ever seen. Guests signed vinyl records that were displayed with a fabulous record player and album art of the newlyweds!

Nisha’s father provided one of the evening’s sweetest surprises, as he had pre-recorded himself singing a special song for Nisha that I played before their father-daughter dance. Nisha and Justin embraced their big day and made the most of every minute. The evening ended with a packed dance floor of their friends and family expressing their love and excitement for the newlyweds. The happy couple is now ready for their well-deserved honeymoon in Napa and Hawaii!!!

Katie and Nathan (Pittsburgh Shrine Center Wedding Reception)

While I think it’s important to a couple’s wedding day to reflect their tastes and style, I find some of the most amazing weddings are those where the newlyweds include details that they know their guests will be able to enjoy. Katie and Nathan’s wedding reception was one that was perfectly suited to both them, as well as all of their friends and family. The result was a fabulous party that I know no one will soon forget!

The reception was held at The Pittsburgh Shrine Center in Cheswick, PA. The large ballroom made an amazing setting for dinner and dancing! Katie and Nathan left a lot of time for dancing, which allowed for plenty of time to play all types of music. Guests were able to sing and dance to hits from Neil Diamond and AC/DC, to TLC and Taylor Swift. Everyone was also treated to a fabulous late night pizza delivery to keep up their energy!

I had so much fun working with Katie and Nathan! Watching them spend so much time on the dance floor with their favorite people was a blast. At the end of the evening, their guests joined them for four special “last songs” where everyone danced, sang and got a little crazy. The newlyweds are soon off for a very well-deserved honeymoon in Antigua!

Angelica and Mark (Over Eden Wedding Reception)

Couples ask me all the time how they can fit in a little more time for dancing at their wedding reception. It can be so difficult to figure out the perfect timeline that includes everything they want AND an epic dance party. Angelica and Mark took a fantastic approach and made most of their reception into one continuous and completely fantastic dance party.

Their ceremony and reception were held at Over Eden in Lawrenceville. The rooftop location provided tons of space and amazing views. Once the newlyweds had their grand entrance and special dances, guests were able to dance and celebrate along with grabbing dinner and cocktails. Having so much time for dancing allowed me to play music from every genre imaginable. Everyone was able to join in the party!

As the sun went down the party raged on (and Mark and his groomsmen changed into some sweet tracksuits!). Even though there had been over 3 and a half hours of dancing, it was clear no one was ready to stop. Guests cheered for the newlyweds as the last few songs came to an end. As I was leaving I could see many of them were continuing the party at the downstairs bar! Angelica and Mark’s one-of-a-kind dance party reception is one I know for sure that I’ll never forget!!!

Becca and Nate (The Pennsylvanian Wedding Reception)

Lots of websites will encourage couples to try and “stay in the moment” during their wedding day. It can be quite challenging to remember to enjoy yourself, and your new spouse, as the big day unfolds. I was so excited to see Becca and Nate embrace every moment and have lots of fun during their wonderful reception held at The Pennsylvanian in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

I’ve been fortunate enough to DJ a lot of weddings recently at The Pennsylvanian, and I’m still always amazed by how gorgeous and stunning the Grand Hall looks when decked out for a reception. The large dance floor was well utilized by all of Becca and Nate’s guests when it was time to being an epic dance party.

One of the obvious signs to me that the newlyweds were truly enjoying their night was their ability to add some new songs to the dance party that they didn’t realize were going to be so popular! Their guests went wild over some late 90’s/early 2000’s tracks and carried the excitement of the day to a whole new level. The happy couple are now hopefully fully enjoying themselves on their romantic honeymoon in Hawaii.

Cassie and Kyle (The Pennsylvanian Wedding Reception)

I’ve had the opportunity to work with lots of couples as their DJ, and I love when they introduce me to new music and artists that are the best choices for their wedding. DJs are able to call on years of experience to help pick the music to fill the dance floor, but many newlyweds have unique insight into the songs that will get their friends and family the most excited and keep the celebration going all night. Cassie and Kyle knew exactly what to request for their epic celebration held at The Pennsylvanian in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Grand Hall at the Pennsylvanian decked out with beautiful decor and a custom bar featuring gorgeous photos of the newlyweds! The large dance floor always makes the perfect spot for a fabulous dance party and all of Cassie and Kyle’s guests did not disappoint!

The playlist consisted of a large variety of music from classical to EDM. The energy of the guests was contagious as everyone crowded in to celebrate the next chapter in Cassie and Kyle’s life. The night ended in the Pennsylvanian’s rotunda for a final farewell and sparkler send-off. The happy couple is now off enjoying a well-earned honeymoon in St. Lucia!

Emily and Travis (Sheraton Station Square Wedding)

Putting together an epic wedding day is hard work. There are tons of plans to make and it requires tons of coordination between friends, family and vendors to ensure your special day is one that no one will ever forget. One of the best parts of my job is getting to see everything come together and watch hundreds of guests caught up in an amazing once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

Emily and Travis (and their families) put an amazing amount of effort into their wonderful wedding day and it all paid off big time! The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Sheraton Hotel at Station Square. After their sweet nuptials, guests made their way to the large ballroom for a truly unforgettable party. The dance floor was packed all night long as friends and family celebrated and sang songs from every genre imaginable!

The entire evening included lots of special customized elements including the centerpieces, flower wall and the best kettle corn in all of Pittsburgh! Emily and Travis’s music requests were also a perfect match for everyone to be able to join in the fun. The excitement was contagious and it was clear this group was ready to keep going all night long. Once the official party ended, everyone headed to the after party to spend even more time with the newlyweds. Emily and Travis’s hard work was 100% worth it as I’m sure their wedding is one people will talk about for years to come!
