Brett Alaina and John (Phipps Conservatory Wedding DJ)

I tell each couple that I work with that planning your wedding reception should be fun.  There’s plenty of work to do when choosing details for your big day, but when it comes time to think about the music and good times you’ll have at the reception, you should try to enjoy the process.  Brett Alaina and John were great to work with when we put together their wedding ceremony and reception held at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA.

This was my first time getting to provide uplighting (both candlelight and purple) at the Phipps Conservatory ballroom!  I also helped create a monogram for the newlyweds, too!

Brett Alaina and John chose wonderful, unique and stylish music to use throughout their celebration.  This great mix of music matched up perfectly with their friends and family, so when it was time to dance, no one hesitated to get on the dance floor to party!  I love getting the chance to work with people who enjoy music so much, and find great ways to use their favorite songs to make their day memorable.  The happy couple is now off for a romantic and well-deserved honeymoon in the Maldives.

Victoria and Ben (Carnegie Museum Wedding DJ)

Many couples worry about hiring a wedding DJ who may act corny or play cheesy music. It’s important that the style of the DJ and the music matches the tastes of the bride and groom. Tory and Ben knew what was right for for their elegant and wonderfully fun celebration at the Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer.

The Carnegie Museum continues to be my favorite venue in Pittsburgh. The beauty and elegance of the Music Hall Foyer just can’t be matched.

Tory and Ben provided me terrific guidance regarding the playlist for their celebration.  They knew exactly what their friends and family would enjoy, but also gave me the opportunity to contribute to the music selections.   Everyone had a great time dancing, singing and celebrating with the newlyweds.  The happy couple created a beautiful and modern celebration that no one will ever forget.

Mallorie and Jordan (University Club Wedding DJ)

How you choose to enter your reception can help set the tone for rest of the evening. The grand entrance can establish whether the celebration will be more formal, sweet, or just silly. Mallorie and Jordan’s entrance to their reception at the University Club in Pittsburgh left no doubt with their guests that the evening was meant for dancing!

This was my first dance to do uplighting and a monogram in the University Club ballroom. The results were simply stunning.

Immediately following the entrance, everyone joined the bride and groom on the dance floor for an epic “No Excuse Dance Party”.  It was amazing to see practically everyone so excited for the newlyweds as they got a little crazy before dinner even started!

The rest of the evening continued to be filled with wonderful and fun moments, and of course, more dancing.  The newlyweds did a great job requesting great music that would match up perfectly with their friends and families’ tastes.  Mallorie and Jordan created an extraordinary celebration from the opening dance party all the way to their beautiful sparkler send off.

Lindsie and Douglas (Le Mont Wedding DJ)

Whether you’re getting married right out of college, or a little later in life, your parents will always have an impact on your wedding day.  I’ve seen many couples find ways to honor their moms and dads in some wonderful and memorable ways.  Lindsie and Doug did something extra special for their parents on their perfect day at the Le Mont Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA.

A quick note about the view at the Le Mont – WOW!

For the parent dances, Lindsie allowed her dad to put together a custom medley of song snippets, each with a special meaning for the big day.  It was awesome to see Lindsie’s expressions as each song started.  Doug and his mom also danced to a unique group of song snippets, but theirs included songs like The Chicken Dance, Jump On It, and When Irish Eyes Are Smiling!  This was not only hilarious, but extremely touching to see Doug and his mom have so much fun during their special moment.

After the parent dances, the “Bridal Party Dance” really got the evening going with “Watch Me” by Silento!

After setting such a great tone, all of the wedding guests were ready to get the celebration started.  The newlyweds, along with their parents, danced, sang, and partied with friends and family from beginning to end.  Lindsie and Doug are now headed off to Jamaica for their honeymoon.

Lindsey and Kirk (Twelve Oaks Mansion Wedding DJ)

Putting together weddings is a lot of work.  Lots of things to do, lots to think about and plan.  I love when couples are able to let all of it go and just enjoy themselves on the big day.  Lindsey and Kirk were not only great fun to work with, but were able to truly enjoy every moment of their beautiful reception at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Mars, PA.

I love the ballroom at Twelve Oaks.  It’s a big open space with lots of beautiful natural light.  It was a wonderful area for Lindsey and Kirk’s celebration.

Lindsay and Kirk provided a great list of music for cocktails, dinner and dancing.  The mix was perfectly suited for their friends and family who danced, sang and got a little crazy on the dance floor.  I had the best time watching the newlyweds enjoying themselves so much as their guests cheered and celebrated with them.  The happy couple is now headed off to San Diego for a romantic and well-deserved honeymoon.

Lisa and Joseph (Carnegie Museum Wedding DJ)

Almost anyone you meet would tell you that they love music, but only a select few people are truly passionate about a wide variety of songs and artists.  Even fewer still know how to craft a great playlist to create their ideal wedding celebration.  Lisa and Joe’s passion and knowledge of music allowed them to choose the perfect soundtrack for their reception at the Carnegie Museum’s Music Hall Foyer in Pittsburgh, PA

The Music Hall is my absolutely favorite place to DJ in Pittsburgh.  Such an amazingly beautiful venue that is elegant and timeless.

Lisa and Joe’s friends and family were tuned in to the couple’s music selections as everyone cheered and sang along to each song.  Everyone partied and danced all night long before heading off to the after party for more celebrating.  The happy couple is headed off to a romantic Mediterranean Cruise where they can relax and, I’m sure, listen to some more great music.
