Megen and Keith (Pittsburgh Athletic Association)

When your wedding is over, how will your guests describe it?  I’m sure  Megen and Keith’s family and friends will be using words like elegant, romantic, fun, and completely unforgettable.

Woody Harmon Wedding

Their celebration was held at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association in Oakland, which was decorated beautifully.  My favorite touch was how each table featured a romantic quote from the couple’s favorite movies.

Keith said to me at the end of the night that the day had been more than he had ever hoped for, which is exactly what I wish for every bride and groom.  Hopefully, Megen and Keith will be able to say the same thing about their romantic honeymoon in Jamaica!

Shannon and Ron (Southpointe Golf Club)

Nothing makes me as excited as a couple who knows and loves music.  Add to that the fact that they equally love movies, and I can’t imagine a more epic wedding reception.  Shannon and Ron incorporated a ton of fun and elegant details into their special day at the Southpointe Golf Club in Cannonsburg, PA.

Black-Ledwich

Shannon and Ron’s reception had a classic old Hollywood theme and featured an ice sculpture, photo booth, and a couple of mac mini’s displaying photos from their past.  They provided me with many wonderful song choices for their wedding soundtrack, which included dinner music selections from all their favorite movies.  At the end of the evening the couple made their getaway in style in a Delorean!

Their guests danced and sung all night long to a great variety of music.  It was an amazing celebration which could have gone on forever (if only that flux capacitor really worked!).  The sequel to their romantic love story will start on their honeymoon in Hawaii… (cue the music!)

My husband and I used Eric’s services for our June 2013 wedding, and we could not be happier that we did!

From the first moment we contacted him to get information, he was extremely helpful, prompt, and very friendly. When we finally spoke over the phone (we were planning from out of state), we just clicked with him. He is so easy-going, fun, and such a genuinely nice guy. Throughout the process, he made everything so easy for us, and he did everything in his power to make sure we were happy with the results.

Eric’s website is very well done, and the choosing of music is well organized- you get a login name and can listen to clips of the music while you decide. Eric even offers lighting, which was so reasonably priced, and he did a BEAUTIFUL job lighting our reception.

During the reception, Eric was wonderful. He was energetic, professional, and made the reception so elegant yet so much fun!! Every person that came to the wedding was on the dance floor, and we danced till the end!! The music he played was absolutely perfect, and exactly what we wanted. The combination of the ambiance from his lighting and the feel from the music made our reception the perfect night.

We cannot thank Eric from Schiemer Entertainment more for making our wedding so incredibly special; we will have wonderful memories of our reception for the rest of our lives, and we give so much of the credit for that to him.

Katie and Josh (Power Center Ballroom DJ)

I’ve talked a lot about timing for receptions here on my website, since I believe the decisions you make regarding the times of your ceremony and reception will effect how each part of your day plays out.  Katie and Josh held their reception on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and had their reception begin immediately following in the wonderful sun-lit  Duquesne Power Center Ballroom.  Not only was this an excellent choice in venue, but they made many other fantastic decisions which made the day a tremendous success. Pantaleo Ely Wedding Since dancing was scheduled to begin long before the sun went down, we had discussed the best way to get the celebration started.  Katie, who works as a Zumba instructor, had the brilliant idea to begin by teaching all of the guests a simple, yet fun routine.  This really helped get people out of their seats and helped them loosen up for an early evening of dancing Both Katie and Josh stayed on the dance floor for almost every song of the night, and they worked hard to pull shy guests out and seemed to have a ton of fun just being with each other.  For the their honeymoon, this creative couple is heading off to the Adirondack Mountains to truly enjoy time together as they start a new chapter in their lives.

Monica and Josh (Pittsburgh Airport Marriott DJ)

Some friends and family members should not be trusted to participate in your wedding day.  The last thing anyone wants is crazy Uncle John going out and getting his mix tape out of the truck to play during your first dance.  That said, if you’re lucky enough to have loved ones that are trustworthy, they can help create special moments during your big day that you’ll never forget.  Monica and Josh were fortunate enough to have some pretty amazing moments assisted by family at their reception at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott in Moon Township. Fiorenzo Babir Wedding I received a call before the wedding from Moncia’s sisters to request some assistance for the Maids of Honors’ toast.  I provided the music as they rapped well-wishes to the newlyweds to “The Fresh Price of Bel Air” theme.  Monica also chose to allow her dad to call me with a surprise father/daughter dance (Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight).  These few unexpected moments really helped add some unique and fun to the evening. It was a wonderful evening of celebration and family.  Everyone had a fantastic time dancing, singing, and enjoying the photo booth.  Before the newlyweds headed off for their honeymoon in Aruba, the guests crowded the dance floor for three wild and fun farewell songs.

Dana and James (Carnegie Museum Wedding DJ)

One of my favorite things about weddings today is how couples are ready to incude only the the music and events that meet their style and tastes.  Dana and James planned  a day at the Carnegie Museum in Oakland, which began with great elegance in the Hall of Architecture and ended with an epic modern dance party in the Music Hall Foyer.

Rozum Wood Wedding

Dana and James chose to have contemporary piano music for cocktails and dinner, which matched perfectly with the beauty of the Music Hall Foyer.  After a few special dances, it was time to get the party started.  The newlyweds chose mostly music from the past decade, which was a perfect match for their wild and energetic guests.

The dance floor remained a crazy celebration all the way up until the last minute of the evening.  Afterwards, everyone made their way to the front of the museum for a sparkler farewell before Dana and Jim headed off for their honeymoon in Cancun.
