Alaina and Nick (Lingrow Farm Wedding DJ)

While I believe almost everyone loves music of some kind, it’s great for me to work with couples who are truly passionate about the songs they want to include at their reception. This weekend I was the DJ for Alaina and Nick’s amazing wedding at Lingrow Farm in Saxonburg, PA

Alaina and Nick picked a great variety of music for cocktails (20’s & 30’s jazz), dinner (Beatles, rock, & soul), and dancing (motown, soul, rock, alternative). My favorite parts of the evening were watching their faces light up as their selections helped create the perfect moments.

It was an amazing day for the newlyweds and their guests before it was time to take the shuttles back from Lingrow Farm. Nick and Alaina chose an amazing and unique wedding day soundtrack, and it was the perfect match for their friends and family. By the end of the evening, the couple was ready to begin their honeymoon in the Tennessee mountains.

Kristen and Mikkel (Westin Convention Center DJ)

Some couples just know. They know what they want, and they know what will work. I LOVE working with couples like this. I’m certainly always happy to lend my expertise to help make decisions, but when it comes down to it, the bride and groom are the ones who know best what is going to make their day perfect. Kristen and Mikkel held their reception at the Westin Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, and they made such amazing choices, that I’m certain they wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Since they were planning from out of town, Kristen, Mikkel, and I had a great time talking over Skype to discuss details. They made great choices for uplighting colors (pink and orange), monogram style and placement, and most importantly, what music was going to make their guests jump up and celebrate.

Their friends and family were truly ecstatic to join in the fun and dancing. It was an evening that came to an end way too soon as guests crowded the dance floor for the last remaining songs. The newlyweds are off to Jamaica for a romantic and relaxing honeymoon, which I’m sure will end up being another perfect choice.

Jessica and Jeffrey (Lingrow Farm Wedding DJ)

Years ago I made the decision to DJ exclusively for weddings. I spent years DJing in nightclubs, class reunions, christmas parties, etc, but I came to realize that my true passion was to play a part in celebrations which would be unique each and every time. Jessica and Jeffrey held their reception at Lingrow Farm in Leechburg, PA and I had the pleasure of helping them make their day a wonderfully special and intimate time with their friends and family.

Jessica and Jeffrey have a true passion for music, and provided me with some diverse and fun song lists which helped to ensure that the day would meet their style. Lots of oldies and rock seemed to be the perfect match for both their venue, as well as all of their friends and family.

What I loved about the night was how often the newlyweds spent quiet moments dancing with each other on the dance floor. The wedding day can be filled with so much rushing around, it was nice to see a couple getting time to enjoy each other’s company while still entertaining their guests. Jessica and Jeffrey are now off to spend more quality time together on their Caribbean honeymoon.

Tessa and Brian (Pittsburgh Airport Marriott)

It’s become cliche to talk about how quickly time seems to pass by on the wedding day. While I’m certain clocks continue to click at their normal speed, couples do have to choose how to spend the day wisely. Tessa and Brian created one of the most original and brilliant evenings I’ve ever been a part of this Memorial Day weekend at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott in Moon Township.

Guests gathered for a cocktail hour held outside before a beautiful and romantic candlelight ceremony. Afterwards everyone made their way indoors to enjoy the food stations, visiting, and over 3 hours of crazy fun dancing.

At nearly 2 AM, time did eventually run out. Tessa and Brian’s friends and family weren’t interested in ending the party as they all chanted for one last song. The newlyweds had pulled off a unique wedding celebration that their guests will not soon forget.

Joelle and Jamie (Grand Hall at the Priory)

One of my favorite parts of every wedding is getting to meet the couple and their families. It’s fun to see how family members join in to help make the day perfect. Joelle and Jamie were sure to include special elements at their reception that would be memorable for everyone.

Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory looked amazing as guests enjoyed an evening of celebration. The newlyweds chose many unique and fun songs to be included throughout the evening, including a collection of Haitian songs which were a big hit with all the guests.

Not only were Joelle and Jamie a fantastically fun couple to work with, they are genuinely sweet people who come from wonderful families. After the newlyweds takes a couple of weeks to enjoy the success of their wedding day, they’ll be heading off on a unique honeymoon, traveling to various locations up and down the East Coast.

Anjelica and Andy (SNPJ Alpine Room)

Your friends can really help make your wedding day. It can be the day when you’ll see the people closest to you step up and do all they can to make your day a success. At Anjelica and Andy’s wedding at the SNPJ in Imperial, PA, it was obvious how many people they had touched throughout their lives, as hundreds came together to celebrate.

The Alpine Room was beautifully decorated with a beach/ocean theme, which I’m sure helped to get the couple get in the mindset of their upcoming honeymoon in Punta Cana!

I’m blessed to consider the newlyweds my friends, and I was thrilled to play a part of their amazingly fun day. As the night drew to a close, Anjelica and Andy were smothered with hugs and kisses by their closest friends and family. Everyone gave their all to help them as they started their new lives together.
