Molly and Jeff (Nittany Lion Inn)

Sometimes finding the venue for your wedding will come before anything else. Choosing the right location for everyone to gather can play a major role in the success of the celebration. Molly and Jeff knew their wedding and reception needed to be at Penn State College & the Nittany Lion Inn in State College, PA.

Molly & Jeff invited lots of family and friends to join them on their big day, many of which were Penn State Alumni. The beautiful Nittany Lion Inn was the perfect location for an epic reunion and celebration.

Once the dancing started, the party really kicked into gear. Everyone enjoyed dancing to fantastic music from the 60’s all the way up to today’s hits. The excitement and energy on the dance floor went non-stop until the very last song. Molly and Jeff gave their guests a wonderful day to reminisce, visit, dance, and get a little crazy. The newlyweds are now off to another great location for their honeymoon in Aruba.

Kiera and Matt (Perlé)

Doing something truly different for your reception can be scary, but the results can be amazing. Kiera and Matt’s choice to have their celebration at Perlé champagne lounge in Market Square was the perfect choice. Instead of a traditional sit-down dinner, guests were able to mingle, sit on the couches, and enjoy the wonderful Spring weather.

The vibe at Perlé set a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere for the newlyweds’ friends and family to enjoy.

I loved their custom cake topper which featured Kiera and Matt’s cats!

Kiera and Matt’s guests enjoyed cocktails, food and a great view on the balcony. When dusk arrived, it was time to get the music going, and no one hesitated to join in the party. Guests of all ages crowded the dance floor to sing, dance and get crazy. The happy couple made excellent choices on what would be the perfect match for their wedding reception. They appear to have made another excellent choice as they prepare to leave for their honeymoon in Ireland!

K’rin and Victor (Scottish Rite Cathedral)

When it comes to wedding reception decorations , I’m all about the little touches that help make everything feel so personal and unique. K’rin and Victor included some fantastic elements which perfectly matched their style. Their wedding and celebration were held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle, PA.

Their ceremony was held in the lobby of the Cathedral and the light coming through the big windows was stunning.

Of all their customized details, my favorite would be their one of a kind cake topper. K’rin and Vic also had me create a custom, winter themed monogram for the dance floor, which turned out great!

K’rin and Vic were so fun to work with. They had a super-relaxed attitude about their big day, and focused on the chance to enjoy every moment. They chose great music to include throughout the night, but also let anyone request the songs they’d like to hear. They had a wonderful day that allowed them to create lasting memories with their friends and family.

Kathryn and Andrew (Doubletree by Hilton Wedding DJ)

Every couple has to decide what part their families will play in the preparation of their wedding day. Some couples work hard to keep their closest family members as far away as possible from influencing their plans. Katy and Andrew chose instead to have their parents play a major role in their beautiful and elegant reception held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Washington, PA.

The ballroom at the Doubletree looked spectacular, and was filled with customized Fall weddingdetails, which added to the warm and friendly tone of the reception.

Katy and Andrew, along with their families, provided excellent music choices, which contained enough variety to please all of their guests. Their friends and family were quick to join them on the dance floor and join in the celebration of the newlyweds and their new life together. The happy couple is now off to Florida’s most family friendly honeymoon spots for some well-deserved time together in Disney World and Universal Studios.

Samantha and Gregory (Anchor Village Wedding DJ)

Surprises on your wedding day can go either way. Some couples love the idea, while others want to avoid any type of unplanned event happening during their big day. Samantha and Greg planned a little surprise of their own, which turned out perfectly, for their wonderful celebration held at Anchor Village in Shippenville, PA.

Samantha wanted to surprise her father with a special song for their dance, so she had instructed me to play that song no matter what her dad would request. Turns out when her father called me, he chose the exact same song Sam had chosen special for him (Bruce Springsteen’s “When I Need You”). Clearly these two both were thinking on the same page, and the shock on her dad’s face when he found out was completely priceless!

One thing that wasn’t a surprise was how much fun all of the newlyweds’ friends and family had that night. Dance music lasted for well over 3 hours as everyone made room to dance, sing and celebrate! The happy couple are now off to Mexico for a romantic and relaxing honeymoon.
