Brittany + Michael (Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall Wedding)

Finding the right venue for your reception can be very challenging.  Pittsburgh offers many uniquely styled locations based on your tastes and style.  I believe Brittany and Michael made the perfect choice for their elegant celebration held at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory.  Their friends and family gathered on a beautiful spring day to spend time and party with the newlyweds.

The Grand Hall was beautifully decorated and mother nature provided a wonderful amount of natural light, which made the room look even more stunning than usual.

Brittany and Michael (along with some help from their families) provided great selections for songs to include throughout the reception.  The music was a great mix of everything from Frank Sinatra to Pitbull.  As the sun went down, guests of every age crowded the floor to sing, dance and get crazy.  Brittany and Michael made all the right choices and created a wedding day like no other.

Margaret and Christopher (Chadwick Wedding)

I’ve been lucky enough to start the year with a number of weddings where I get to play part of the ceremony as well as the reception.  I love the opportunity to help make sure the music and sound for the nuptials are well-suited to the tastes of the bride and groom.  Margaret and Christopher’s elegant and fun-filled wedding day was held at the Chadwick in Wexford, PA.

The outdoor space at the Chadwick was beautifully decorated and the weather could not have been more perfect as guests gathered to celebrate with the happy couple.

Margaret and Christopher share my passion for music and organization.  I loved working with them to create the soundtrack for their special day.  Their playlist was a wonderful mix of everything to piano classics to modern popular hits.  There was something for everyone!

I loved the chance to witness the day unfold and was even happier to see all of the couple’s plans work out so perfectly.  All of Margaret and Christopher’s hard work paid off as their friends and family joined in dancing, singing in a big celebration of their new lives together.

Jaimie and Pete (Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort Wedding)

Planning a wedding can be stressful, tiring, and downright frustrating.  Jaimie and Pete didn’t seem to be bothered by any of those things and were calm and relaxed while preparing and enjoying their fun-filled day held at the elegant Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort in Blairsville, PA.

The outdoor pavilion provided a wonderful spot for them to exchange their vows.  Even though the day had started with a little snow, the weather warmed up so guests could enjoy a fantastic, clear day.  Afterwards guests were invited to the ballroom, which was beautifully decorated.  I was happy I could provide the purple uplighting which made things look even better.

The day was filled with special touches and memorable moments.  When it was time to start dancing, everyone was quick to join in the celebration.  The dance floor remained the place to be for almost 4 hours!  Jaimie and Pete’s great, relaxed attitude allowed them to focus on enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, and to create memories that will last forever.

Ashley and Adam (Phipps Conservatory Wedding)

There’s no better way to kick off the 2015 wedding season then with a fantastic spring wedding.  Ashley and Adam held their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA.  They took such care to plan a day which included all their favorite people, details and music.

Their nuptials and cocktails were held in the Tropical Forest Congo area, and I loved how their place cards and other details coordinated perfectly with the theme at Phipps.

With dinner completed, it was finally time to really celebrate!  The newlyweds’ friends and family were tons of fun as they danced and sang to a variety of amazing selections.  Ashley and Adam chose some truly unique songs, which helped make the evening even more special.  I thank this wonderful couple for including me in their special day, what a way to start the year!  They are now off for a romantic honeymoon in Antigua.

Marissa and Stephen (Holy Trinity Wedding)

Marissa and Stephen’s reception at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community Center was one which truly focused on the importance of family and friends.  The newlyweds worked hard to include and acknowledge the special part they had all played in helping them get to their big day.

The reception was filled with decor and customized signage that gave the celebration a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  A special, one-of-a-kind moment was when Tony Resch performed a song he had written just for the couple’s first dance.

Of course when family and friends get together, everyone is able to let loose and really have fun.  When the dancing started, everyone was quick to get on the dance floor and celebrate!  Marissa and Stephen, with the help of those closest to them, put together the perfect day for everyone to enjoy.  The newlyweds are now off to the Florida Keys for a fun-filled honeymoon.

Sarah and Jason (Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh)

Putting together a wedding is all about finding the right mix.  This is true when it comes to the choosing the guests, the food, and definitely the music.  Sarah and Jason could offer a master’s class on assembling the right blend of personal tastes and guest pleasing elements.  The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh was the perfect venue for their fun and unique ceremony and reception.

From the moment I first met Sarah and Jason, it was clear how much they cared about music.  It was great fun to assemble their music playlist which included some special surprises throughout the evening.  Music is clearly at the center of their relationship. When Jason told me the entrance song, he said, “Sarah told me she wanted to enter to Rush, which is why I love her.”

Throughout the night, the music was a fantastic selection of rock, classic guitar, Motown, and top 40 music.  This great mix gave all the guests a chance to get up and be part of the celebration.  Sarah and Jason put together an amazing day that was meant for everyone to enjoy, and they certainly did!
