Caitlin and Mark (Carnegie Museum Wedding Reception)

So much happens during your wedding day, it’s important to try and slow down and really cherish every moment. Some couples get caught up in worrying about what’s next, they miss the opportunity to enjoy what’s happening around them. Caitlin and Mark did a fabulous job at staying in the moment at their beautiful and elegant wedding reception held at the stunning Music Hall Foyer at the Carnegie Museum

The Museum has always been one of my favorite venues in all of Pittsburgh. The gorgeous space was made even more specular with Caitlin and Marks’ beautiful decor. Each table featured wonderful photos of the newlyweds through each year of their lives.

Guests were excited to be part of the celebration as they joined on the dance floor with the newlyweds for a fabulous dance party!

I was so glad to see Caitlin and Mark take full advantage of the time they had at their reception. They were able to spend time with all of their favorite people while enjoying a great time dancing to some of their favorite songs. The happy couple is soon headed off to a very well-deserved honeymoon in Granada.

Erin and Jared (Pittsburgh Marriott North Wedding Reception)

2021 has been a wonderful year for wedding celebrations. Family and friends have been so excited for the opportunity to get together and be part of a fabulous once-in-a-lifetime event. Erin and Jared’s wedding at the Pittsburgh Marriott North was my last wedding to DJ this year and I can’t imagine a more perfect way to end such a perfect year of celebrating love and happiness.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by an amazing wall of table card/favor ornaments placed under an adorable sign acknowledging them as the newlyweds’ “Favorite People”. Watching Erin and Jared spend time with their guests, it was obvious how wonderful it was for them to spend this special day surrounded by those they love most.

Erin and Jared prepared a fantastic list of song requests for me to use throughout their celebration. When it was time to dance, their song choices could not have been a more perfect match for their friends and family to enjoy!

It was so much fun seeing everyone having the time of their lives celebrating with the newlyweds. The end of the evening came entirely too quickly as all of their guests cheered for the happy couple. Erin and Jared gave everyone the perfect party not only to kick off the holiday season but to end 2021 on a fabulous high note. The happy couple is going to enjoy Christmas and New Year’s with family before enjoying a very well-deserved honeymoon together.

Victoria and Cody (Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer Wedding Reception)

Every couple who gets married in December is faced with the choice of whether or not they should acknowledge the holiday or not. Victoria and Cody made a fabulous decision to embrace the spirit of Christmas for their gorgeous and fun wedding reception held at the stunning Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer.

If you’ve read this blog, you’ll know how much I adore Djing at the museum. The Music Hall Foyer looked amazing and the choices of flowers and decor was perfect. I can’t even begin to say how much I loved the fabulous Christmas present cake Victoria had chosen for the big day.

Everyone came ready to celebrate! There was plenty of wonderful music (including a few Christmas songs) for all of the newlyweds friends and family to enjoy.

It was so much fun to watch Victoria and Cody’s friends gather around to show their love and support. Including a splash of Christmas into their celebration was the best choice since their wedding day truly was one of love, family and making amazing memories that will last a lifetime.

Julie and Tim (Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer Wedding Reception)

The most common thing I hear from couples is how they would like to avoid having all of the standard, overplayed music at their wedding. I love to work with people who really take the time to think about what songs will be special and unique for their celebration. Julie and Tim’s wedding is one I know I’ll never forget as their playlist featured so many amazing songs that made their wonderful reception truly one-of-a-kind.

The Carnegie Museum has always been one of my favorite venues and I can’t imagine a better location for Julie and Tim’s reception. The large dance floor was the perfect space for an epic dance party.

I believe what made their song choices so successful was because the newlyweds spent so much time on the dance floor singing and dancing with all of their friends and family. Their excitement was infectious. The end of the evening came entirely too fast for everyone (including me). Emma and Jake (The Pennsylvanian Wedding)

Wedding receptions are even more fun when couples include special music and traditions that make their big day unique and memorable. Emma and Jake included a great selection of songs for me to play throughout the reception and were sure to include some Arabic music, which created some amazing moments on the the dance floor for all of their family and friends.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Pennsylvanian Grand Hall where there was lots of room for everyone to enjoy a night of visiting, singing and dancing. Guests were not only treated to wonderful music, but also amazing food including an amazing cookie table and late night buffet!

Emma and Jake were amazing hosts to all of their guests. They spent lots of time with everyone, making sure they had a great time. They put together a celebration like no other that included special events and moments for all to enjoy. The happy couple now get a little time for themselves on their well-earned honeymoon in Jamaica.

Julie and Mike (The Pennsylvanian Vow Renewal and Wedding Reception)

I had the opportunity to DJ quite a few weddings this year that were originally scheduled in 2020. While everyone dealt with this situation differently, Julie and Mike’s solution may be one of my favorites. The happy couple were married at a small ceremony on their original wedding day, and chose to have a vow renewal this year when they could gather with all of their friends and family for an epic celebration.

The celebration took place at the stunning Pennsylvanian hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. They renewed their wedding vows to each other under the gorgeous Rotunda with no officiant or readers. Julie and Mike just affirmed their love for each other while their guests watched on and cheered. Afterwards everyone moved inside for an evening of visiting, dancing and singing.

Another amazing choice Julie and Mike made was to replace the bouquet toss with a small stuffed cat (Pusheen) that would grant the catcher the responsibility of adopting a cat in honor of the newlyweds. What a fun way to include everyone in a unique and memorable event!

I had so much fun working with Julie and Mike and was so excited to see all of their guests join in on the fun. After dealing with all the changes of the past year, it was obvious how happy everyone was for them. At the end of the night Julie and Mike were literally surrounded by their friends and family on the dance floor for the last few songs. It was a celebration that was well worth the wait for this wonderful couple!
