Rylee and Adam (Carnegie Museum Wedding Reception)

There’s always a lot of talk about how quickly time will seem to pass on your wedding day.  This sensation happens not only because there is so much to do and so much to see, but also because you are surrounded by all of your favorite people.  The challenge is to enjoy every moment on a day you wish would never end.  Rylee and Adam certainly made the most of their big day as their guests joined them for an amazing reception at the Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer in Pittsburgh, PA.

The museum always makes for an amazing reception venue.  Not only is the music hall one of the most beautiful places in Pittsburgh, their staff is always fantastically attentive and delivers top notch service throughout your event.

Rylee and Adam treated their guests to a fun-filled evening that started with their first dance and parent dances as guests had a terrific view from the balcony of the music hall foyer.  After a delicious meal everyone was quick to jump on the dance floor for an epic celebration.

Rylee and Adam spent their evening visiting and dancing with friends and family that had traveled from all over to be part of their big day.  While I’m sure the day flew by for everyone, the newlyweds made the most of each unforgettable moment.  Hopefully time will slow down a bit for them as they head to the Bahamas for a well-deserved honeymoon.

Samantha and Matthew (Montour Heights Country Club Wedding Reception)

While most weddings are a mixture of friends and family, I find some of the most fun receptions are those where college friends unite to celebrate and get a little wild with the happy couple. Samantha and Matthew knew their fellow Penn State alumni would help make their party fantastic as they all gathered at the beautiful Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, PA.

The ballroom at the Country Club looked amazing decked out with holiday decor and custom centerpieces.  I was thrilled to be able to provide uplighting and a monogram to help customize the space even more.

All of the guests joined in for dancing, but the celebration really took off when the Penn State pom-poms came out!

Samantha and Matthew’s wedding day was full of special moments meant for all their guests to enjoy.  Everyone spent quality time with friends both new and old.  At the end of the night, the dance floor was filled with lots of singing and hugging.  The happy couple was joined by all of their favorite people as they headed off to enjoy the after party and start their new life together.

Kameron and Nick (Carnegie Museum Wedding Reception)

One of the coolest parts of being a wedding DJ is that I get to work with wonderful couples who are about to experience one of the most exciting days of their lives.  I love the chance to get to know them as we figure out the details that will play out during the wedding day.  Kameron and Nick’s fun and friendly nature let me know immediately that their reception would be a wonderful time for all of their friends and family.

Their reception was held at the amazing Carnegie Museum.  I’ve been the DJ for over 25 weddings at the Museum before, and I’m always blown away by the stunning beauty of the Music Hall.

Kameron and Nick chose a few songs that I’ve actually never played before, and they were HUGE hits with their guests.  Their celebration was as fun and unique as they are, and the end result was a wonderful evening that was a great time for all.  Their friends and family joined in the fun as they all wished them the best on their new lives together.

Sara and Spencer (Carnegie Museum Wedding Reception)

There are so many choices to make when planning a wedding.  It can be a challenge to decide on all the major options along with all the smaller decisions that need made along the way.  Sara and Spencer did a fabulous job focusing their attention on the details that mattered most to them, and put trust in their venue and vendors to help make sure their day would be a tremendous success.

The reception was held at the stunningly beautiful Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer.  Guests were allowed to explore the museum after the ceremony before heading to the balcony for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Sara and Spencer chose all the special songs for their first dance, parent dances and exit.  They left the rest of the music open for what their guests would enjoy for the celebration.  This gave everyone a chance to join in the fun and dance to great music from both yesterday and today!

The other vendors I talked to said how wonderful it was to work with Sara and Spencer.  Their ability to make such excellent decisions for their wedding day, resulted in a celebration that no one will soon forget.  The newlyweds made another perfect choice to head off for their honeymoon in Mexico!

Jenna and John (Heinz History Center Wedding Reception)

Pittsburgh has so much to offer for your out-of-town wedding guests.  Often, first time visitors are shocked at what a beautiful and entertaining place it can be.  Couples who have either moved here, or come here for school, decide to use our city as a destination wedding for their friends and family.  Most of the guests at Jenna and John’s wedding traveled to be a part of their wonderful day and the fantastic reception that was held at the Heinz History Center.

The Grand Hall at the museum was a spectacular choice for dinner and dancing!  The wedding guests enjoyed touring parts of the museum before the celebration began.

After a terrific dinner and special dancing, everyone was primed and ready for an epic dance party that included some of my favorite party songs of all time.

Jenna and John made sure all of their guests were treated to a fantastic evening that was well worth the trip.  As the final few songs of the night played, and before heading to the after party, the happy couple were surrounded by all of their favorite people from all parts of the county.  It was heart warming to see how much love everyone had for the newlyweds.  I’m sure the trip was well worth it, to be part of an epic celebration that no one will soon forget.

Kasey and Ryan (Children’s Museum Wedding Reception)

There are a lot of ways to describe a great wedding reception, such as beautiful, elegant, romantic, and even unique.  I think the word most couples are hoping their guests use most is FUN!  Kasey and Ryan made 100% sure their friends and family would have a fun time at their reception held on a perfect Fall day at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

The Children’s Museum is a wonderful venue and was a perfect match for Kasey and Ryan’s reception.  Throughout the night guests were offered special treats such as apple pie, popcorn, an amazing cookie table and a completely stocked taco bar for dinner!  Everyone then used the large dance floor to party and celebrate to some great music, including awesome songs from yesterday and today.

Kasey and Ryan held a celebration like no other that featured a little something for everyone, even an after-party for those who weren’t ready for the party to end.  I’m sure as their friends and family head back to work, they’ll be talking about how much fun they had.  The happy couple is now headed off to have some more fun on a romantic Jamaican honeymoon!
