Every year I’m so excited to look back at all the amazing weddings in which I was fortunately enough to play a part. I’m happy to offer this brief look as to why being a wedding DJ in Pittsburgh is the best job in the world.
Pittsburgh Magazine featured another fantastic 2011 wedding where I was the DJ on both their website and their most recent print issue. The wedding of Laura Kiley and Zachary Cataldi was included in their 15 Real Pittsburgh Weddings section. This is the second time this amazing celebration has been showcased online since soon after the wedding there were pictures on Perez Hilton!

I gush a lot about my clients and how spectacular their weddings have been. Nothing like seeing it in print to help prove my point! Kate and Adam’s wedding and reception is featured in the Spring/Summer issue of The Knot ‘s Pennsylvania issue and showcases some wonderful images by Leann Marie Photography. Be sure grab a copy!

Most people assume that DJs are only excited to perform at huge events. Personally I find there is something special about being asked to provide music for smaller, more intimate wedding receptions. Rachael Keene and Robb Poore allowed me to be part of their special day held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greentree, PA just outside of Pittsburgh.
One of the DoubleTree’s beautiful banquet rooms was prepared to receive the newlyweds’ friends and family after the ceremony.
One of the fun parts of DJing for a smaller group is that you really get a chance to play songs for everyone. Rachel and Robb allowed tons of flexibility in their playlist to be sure to keep the fun going late into the evening.
Rachel and Robb’s first dance was sweet and romantic.
After dinner it was time to relax and get a little crazy!
I’ve had the pleasure of living across the street from the Keene’s, and was so excited to be part of this celebration. After Rachel’s parents had a special dance, all the kids surrounded them for a giant hug. This has to be my favorite moment of the entire day!
A few hotel workers questioned how late the reception might go considering the amount of guests. I assured them that it was going to be a fun and wild celebration, and it certainly was. After an hour or so past the original ending time, it was time to say goodnight. Rachel and Robb’s romantic wedding reception gave them plenty of time to visit with each of their guests, which made this day even more special for everyone.
2011 truly was an amazing year to be a DJ in Pittsburgh. I recently discovered yet another one of the fabulous weddings where I was the DJ has been featured online. Pittsburgh Magazine shared some photos and the story of Laura and Sean’s perfect wedding. The beautiful reception was held at the grand ballroom at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh-Meadow Lands.
