Carly and Zach (The Pennsylvanian Wedding)

Some couples are afraid to having their wedding day on a Friday or Sunday since their guests might not be in the same party spirt that is typically reserved for Saturday nights. Carly and Zach’s wedding was absolute proof that no matter what day of the week, friends and family are always ready to celebrate love with those who mean the most to them.

Carly and Zach were married in the gorgeous rotunda of the Pennsylvanian before guests entered the Grand Hall for an evening of special moments, amazing food and, of course, lots of dancing!

The newlyweds spent their evening surrounded by their guests as everyone danced and sung their hearts out. No one cared what day of the week it was, and instead focused on creating amazing memories with the happy couple. Carly and Zach can spend more time not worrying about what day it is on their well-deserved honeymoon in Cabo.

Teena and David (The Pennsylvanian Wedding Reception)

One of the coolest parts of being a wedding DJ is that in one evening, you can play a fabulous variety of songs instead of being stuck using music from only a single genre. It’s so awesome to work with couples who understand how important it is to include different styles of music to please the various people who will be attending their celebration. Teena and David knew that their wedding reception would combine both Italian and Indian influences along with their love of music from yesterday and today.

The reception was held at the amazing Pennsylvanian Hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh. It’s simply one of the most stunning venues in the city! Music for cocktails included jazz and standards performed by the Rat Pack and other great artists, then as guests moved to their seats for dinner, they were treated to a high energy performance by the CMU Collegiate Bhangra dancers!

The music through out the evening moved between Top 40, Motown, Indian and many other styles…. everyone got the chance to be part of the fun!

Teena and David were so much fun to work with throughout the planning process. They put together a celebration with lots of fun, surprises and entertainment for all. It was the perfect match for them and their closest friends and family. The happy couple is now off on a wonderful honeymoon cruise as they start on their next big adventure together!

Casey and Dan (The Pennsylvanian Reception)

I’m always honored when I’m chosen to DJ a wedding, but there is something extra special when I am given the opportunity to be a part of a celebration for members of our military. Not only do I feel it’s important to honor these wonderful men and women, but I also find that no one knows how to party and have fun more than those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. Casey and Dan had their beautiful and elegant military wedding at the Pennsylvanian in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh.

The Pennsylvanian is a gorgeous and stunning venue, made even more elegant with their newly added drapery and the fantastic wedding decorations.

At the end of their reception, Casey and Dan made a comment to me about how the day was full of “perfect moments”. I couldn’t agree more since they had so many of their friends and family surround them as they took the time to talk, relax, enjoy cookies, drink, dance, and sing. Everyone seemed to have the best time as they got crazy to some fun music from yesterday and today. They all gathered around for one last song before the couple’s sparkler exit. Casey and Dan gave everyone a fantastic celebration and in turn, their guests gave them all the love and attention they deserved. The newlyweds are headed off to Taiwan for a well-earned romantic honeymoon.

Meghan and Dan (Pennsylvanian Wedding)

Almost everyone you meet will tell you that they love music, but every once in awhile, I get to work with couples who really LOVE to hear their favorite songs. Meghan and Dan’s passion for music was evident as they sang and danced at their wedding reception held on a perfect summer day at the Pennsylvanian in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.

The Pennsylvanian is one of the most stunning venues in the city. The large dance floor was perfect as everyone joined in to dance the hora!

Meghan and Dan provided a wonderful list of songs to be included on their big day. They knew exactly what would get their guests excited and on the dance floor. As a DJ, there’s nothing more fun than seeing a couple explode with excitement when their favorite song starts playing. Eventually, it was time for the evening to end, and everyone headed over to the after-party. The happy couple is soon headed off for a well-earned honeymoon in Greece and Italy.

The Pennsylvanian (Wedding Venue Spotlight)

Clearly one of the most stunning venues in Pittsburgh, The Pennsylvanian offers a wedding experience like no other. As a DJ, the Pennsylvanian does provide some challenges acoustically, but by using the right types and amount of a equipment, I have been able to reduce the amount of echo that may be a concern when choosing this amazingly beautiful venue. I’ve been able to place a number of Bose speakers discreetly throughout the room which makes a drastic impact for the sound both throughout dinner and dancing. I also provide a separate sound system in the spectacular rotunda for cocktails. If you’re planning for a large and stunning wedding reception in downtown Pittsburgh, make sure to take a tour of the Pennsylvanian for your consideration.
