Shannon and Jason (Four Points Sheraton)

Since last week’s blog covered the importance of a great entrance for your reception, it seems fitting this week to discuss the perfect ending.  Most couples I meet with would envy the amazing finish that Shannon and Jason had for their big day held at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry, PA.

Shannon and Jason scheduled a special after-party for after their reception, so they were able to call an end to the dancing portion of their evening with the majority of their guests still in attendance.  The result was a huge circle of friends and family surrounding them as they enjoyed one last dance together.

The entire reception ran smoothly and allowed plenty of time for everyone to get a little crazy.  It was great to see so many of the newlyweds’ friends and family heading off to celebrate even more.  Shannon and Jason are off to Riviera Maya for what I’m sure will be a perfectly timed honeymoon.

Jennifer and Jeremy (Southpointe Golf Club)

The music and style you choose for your grand entrance into the reception can help set the tone for the entire evening.  Soft and sophisticated, crazy and wild, or just fun and loud music will let your guests know exactly what your plans for the celebration will be.  Jennifer and Jeremy took the time to create their own special mix for their epic entrance into the ballroom at the Southpointe Golf Club, and it was the perfect way to start their perfect party.

In addition to their custom entrance, the newlyweds included lots of great touches at the reception including a candy buffet, photo booth, and even had the cake prepared in advanced for their guests to take home to enjoy.

Jennifer and Jeremy did a spectacular job planning their big day, leaving lots of time for visiting and dancing.  After a wonderful celebration, the couple was able to enjoy one last song with their closest friends and family before heading off to Aruba to begin a new chapter in their lives together.

Emilie and Micah (Shannopin Country Club)

Emilie and Micah put together a wedding day which was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. They made great choices for their reception at the Shannopin Country Club that not only matched their style, but was a fantastic time for everyone.

The ballroom at Shannopin was filed with special touches to make the space feel even more elegant than usual.  Custom decorations, a fun cake topper, and a complete room dedicated to cookies created the perfect setting to celebrate Emilie and Micah.

As everyone enjoyed visiting, dancing, and singing, it was clear how happy they were to be a part of Emilie and Micah’s big day.  All the hard work everyone had done created a day that was truly elegant, romantic, and a perfect fit for this wonderful couple.

Angela and Jason (Montour Heights Country Club)

No matter how diverse a bride and groom’s styles may be, the combination of the two can make their wedding day wonderfully special and unique.  Angela and Jason combined tastes of Persia, England, and Pittsburgh for their big day at the Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, PA.

The reception was held on the terrace under a beautiful tent.  Their choice of colors and decorations helped make the space feel intimate and elegant.  I was able to provide a monogram on the ceiling above the dance floor which not only looked great, but helped light up the dance area later in the evening.

Angela and Jason took great care in choosing music for their celebration. Their choices of Iranian, American, and English artists made a marvelous variety for everyone to enjoy.  I had the best time watching their guests crowd the dance floor and cheer happily before the couple headed off for their honeymoon in Maui.

Mindy and John (Succop Conservancy)

I recently met a DJ who told me he didn’t like the idea of DJ’ing only weddings, since they’re all the same.  This made me laugh, because I’m fortunate to work with amazing couples who are passionate enough to take the time to make their day, and their music, completely unique.  This past weekend I worked with Mindy and John to make the music at their celebration completely customized, elegant, and seriously fun.

Succop Conservancy in Butler provided a beautiful setting for the couple’s big day.  Everyone enjoyed custom mini water bottles as the couple exchanged vows on a perfect summer day.  I provided music and sound for their elegant Jewish and Protestant ceremony.

I feel bad for DJ’s who treat weddings as cookie cutter events. Mindy and John were so much fun for me to work with, since they took great care in making a wedding day which reflected their style.  As their guests crowded the dance floor singing, dancing and begging for more music, it was clear they had succeeded in creating a day like no other.

Stephanie and Stephen (Pittsburgh Airport Marriott)

What do you get when you combine a large Italian family with an even larger Greek family? The answer is obviously going to be one of the largest, most exciting, and unforgettable wedding receptions EVER! Stephanie and Stephen combined traditions with a contemporary style to create a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

Foster Kiefer Wedding

As guests made their way into the ballroom at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, everyone commented on the amazing, custom made ice bar which was open after dinner to serve drinks.  The dancing kicked off with traditional Italian and Greek dances, which were sure to include everyone from the bride & groom’s families.

As the night progressed, all the guests had a chance to dance for over four hours to great music from yesterday and today.  Stephanie and Stephen now get to enjoy their honeymoon in Greece, knowing their big day was truly perfect.
